Well rap is basically rythms and they have to ryme( most of the time ). Rap stands to rytham and poem/poetry. I think i've heard a few pakistani artists sing a few songs like that. <--- Well known artists. But in the west, if one says rap, you get a pic of gangs, drugs, money etc,

Rap doesn't have to be sex, drugs and alcohol. The outlandish songs talk about, Islam and Ummah too while rapping.

A good one by Lupe Fiasco about how we are afraid to speak the truth and how the government brainwashes us. Mainstream rap today is generally speaking only about sex, drugs and alcohol. Exceptions like this one by Lupe exist though.
