Why doesn't Pakhtoonkhawa refuse to provide electricity and gas to Punjab in turn? Until Pakhtoons grow some balls they would continue to be oppressed and abused by Punjabis. Unfortunately most Pakhtoons either do not have sense to understand this or do not have the self-respect to do something about it.

"This thread and then comments on it, are a testament of how this forum is dominated by ignorant fools.

All the wheat in Punjab is not bought by the Punjab government. There are 3 main buyers, provincial government , PASCO which is a federal organization and private buyers.

Punjab government buys only that much wheat which is commensurate with its target of supplies to floor mills in Punjab at subsidized rates.

PASCO buys wheat for supplies, for strategic reserves and for export.

Private buyers buy wheat for onward sales.

KPK government had been negotiating with a private party to buy wheat from Punjab but they could not agree on rates. Then it contacted Punjab government which regretted saying that it had barely enough wheat to fulfill its own obligations and suggested to get the wheat from Punjab through PASCO or private buyer.

So there is absolutely nothing sinister in this news item. KPK govt will still get wheat from Punjab but the procurement agent will be PASCO instead of provincial govt of Punjab.

It is really shameful that the original poster is so blinded by his hatred for one party that he projected this news as if Punjab had stopped KPK from buying its wheat. It seems that such people, in their blind hatred, can even go the extent of creating rifts in the country through propagating such false impressions. Really shameful."

I don't think politics has got anything to do with this. It happened in 97' too.

This happened in Nawaz's last Govt. too... there was extreme shortages of flour all around the province and the then Punjab Govt. were not allowing any wheat to cross into KPK. I don't know if Shareef brothers has got any beef against Pashtoons by birth. It didn't happen in Musharraf's 8-years regime, neither it happened in Zardari's ruthless 5-years regime... but I'm certain the shortage of Wheat will once again take place since Shareef baradiran are back to rock and roll.

This has been going on sincen Pakistan's creation. Who in the first place smuggle good quality wheat from Pakistan to Afghanistan and even USA? Its the mill owners themselves they make huge profits by selling it on black market.

Pakistan shall charge to PTI, all costs of road constructions, because they are the one taking kick backs for allowing, transit of Indian goods to northern alliance, smuggling of subsidized petrol to northern alliance... bunch of traitors.
