ISLAMABAD: Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Tuesday imposed restriction on entry of six Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) members of the provincial assembly (MPAs) to the house, ARY News reported.
The restriction has been imposed by the PA speaker exercising the authority extended by ‘Maintenance of Order’ of the ‘Rules of Procedure of the Punjab Assembly’. This action has been taken on complaints received by staff and for disturbing environment of the house during presentation of the Punjab budget for the remaining eight months of fiscal year 2018-19.
The MPAs who have been suspended from sitting in the assembly include Peer Ashraf, Malik Waheed, Yasin Amir, Mirza Javed, Zaibunnisa and Tariq Gul.

Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Fayazul Hasaan Chohan has derided the PML-N MPAs for kicking up ruckus in the Punjab Assembly.
“What they did today in the assembly, it has never been witnessed in the history. The PML-N MPAs adopted belligerent tone and tried to smash furniture of the hall,” he said while talking about the former ruling party of Punjab’s sulky behavior.
