PTV releases unedited version of PM interview to HBO, turns out his answer on vulgarity, Kashmir & hindutva issues heavily edited

Every Mert (not KGBT) understands what IK wants to imply! Anyway, the End of the Time is approaching. So, try to save your Iman, and if possible the Iman of the others....

As for the West, it’s no god.....

The ruler's statement represents the whole society. When a leader lacks foresight and maturity in thinking, then the state and nation suffer from the consequences. Imran Khan's interview with the Western media is now igniting a debate.

Indeed, it has been unfortunate that the interview was cut short by the producer, but didn't Imran Khan know what might be the purpose of the Western media for his interview? Didn't Imran Khan know that the western media would cut the interview and present the parts which suit them? Was Pakistan's media not there if Imran wants to deliver any message to Pakistanis and the entire world?

The interview was done and released by the Western media, and they achieved what they wanted but Imran and the nation have achieved total contempt disrespect of our society. Imran is now trying to clarify what he wanted to say about women’s coverup dress, but the damage has already accomplished by his unnecessary interview? This interview has not only disgraced Imran Khan but also made Pakistan and its society shamed all over the world.

I wish our political leaders had some wisdom about Islam, Pakistan, and our culture. I wish may Allah give Pakistan a leader if not like Muhammad Ali Jinnah but at least the consciousness for his nation.

Should have dodge these bait questions. Sexual violence is exponential in US compared to Pakistan, but you will never see head of state giving personal opinion while in office.

sometimes media play tricks on Trump to get a colorful response. he would give calibrated official response or simply avoids it with 3 word response.

I found it baffling that the CIA chief arriving in Pakistan with strategic reasons and the Prime Minister didn't even know what it was about and didn't even meet him.

Only a stupid would be baffled!

PM not meeting the CIA chief doesn't mean that PM was not aware of what happened in the meeting. How the heck did you derive this conclusion though? PM only said he didn't meet him, that's it.

The interviewer asked: "What was he here for?"

The PM replied: "I don't know."

His exact words. He's a clueless person. No wonder the Army Chief is the one meeting businessmen.

Picking and choosing words of a honest man like Imran Khan and twisting it to fit their agenda , so much for the "FREEDOM of press in west" the fact stuff is edited , showcases it is a cut and paste Job to formulate "FAKE NEWS"

You can manipulate a person's Interview to fit your own agenda

This happens , on international media as a whole
The whole point of exercise is simple

  • Destroy man's character , so their is less sympathy to his cause or concern

The tactic has been used against other world leaders as well

  • Erdogan was under fire for sending Turkish troops into Syria , and building a wall for border security
  • MBS was alleged to have committed a crime when we know Deep Fakes can create any duplicate for fake videos
  • Attack on Imran Khan's persona is due to his recent support for Palestine

When PM said 'Absolutely Not' to the bases question, then what's the point in answering anything more on that topic. It's diplomacy. Give the answer to the most relevant question and pass on the irrelevant ones.

Then why do your like-minded friends here want a parliamentary debate on this settled definitive answer?

Does it change the fact that the Prime Minister doesn't even know why the CIA chief came to Pakistan, in his own words on the interview? He then said that someone from his administration did meet him, the ISI chief... but didn't he report back to the Prime Minister? How can Imran Khan not know for what business the CIA chief came to Pakistan.

How do you not find that troubling?

i think we should bring out why this controversy arise...

it brings in the team that was handling the interview.
what were they doing? why did it took so long for the interview?
was it not pre-planned?
PTV releasing their version of interview, why they do not have better sound quality recorded?

in the end i would say it is Shabaz Gil who is to blame beside others. PM should shed the likes of him from his left and right. although it is heard PM showed his anger over his team.

so far as PM reply to the question about not meeting CIA Chief and all the criticism, his reply and the body language clearly shows his deliberate attempt not to meet him.
this can be supported by the reply to the question when he was asked about giving US air space and he replied it is not discussed yet. which means he will only discuss this with his counterpart, based on not meeting CIA Chief.

meeting CIA chief is not protocol, political leadership talks to their counter parts. we had the habit of meeting every tom dick and harry whom so ever visit from US by our premiers.

we do remember we were given a title, being Pakistanis "sell their mothers for $$$..." after Aimal Kansi was handed over.

PM did know all the CIA chief visit and its details and vice versa cannot be possible. he is doing what he already knows and the way he wants. the thing is we cannot conclude just on an interview. there is a lot to come pertaining to Afghan issue and the ball is in US court.

From now on, the PM office should record the interview with the foreign journalist and release that version on the TV.

Weve got a whole service group of csp's established for this purpose. Did it never occur to the beaurucrats?

Damage has been done.

Dawn and ET is busy making blogs, editorial, news in blaming IK for the last few days. They even didn't mention about the unedited version of the interview. Only Ary news reported this yesterday.

This clearly warrant cancelation of HBO lisence in Pakistan.

wasn't license cancellation for low rating last year?

I find it not troubling because IK basically communicated that what CIA boss had to say is of no relevance to him. ISI chief is competent enough to follow and implement the policy of the government on 'Absolutely Not'.

PTV has just released unedited portions of PM IK HBO Max interview which show an entirely different scenario about his comments about women in society.
Notably his comments about Hindutva were also deleted in aired version

PM office twitter handle has also posted the unedited version, i am posting the relevant portions here.

"We as a society need to discourage sex crimes." Prime Minister Imran Khan

"Negotiations with India cannot take place until unilateral steps are taken on Kashmir," he said. Prime Minister Imran Khan

P.S: MY request to Mods is to NOT merge this thread with other as this is an important issue requiring a separate topic of its own. It's not just about an individual but about misrepresentation of Pakistan on certain issues. Merging it with the interview thread will make this point of notice lost.

@graphican @Patriot forever @Genghis khan1 @AZADPAKISTAN2009 @313ghazi @Ahmet Pasha etc..
they are spreading propaganda to make IK controversial figure, he needs to be careful.
Can the HBO and the axios be sued for editing and using this interview as a propaganda piece?
This was a jab by the "deep pockets". This deserves a strong action from Pakistan, people and culture here value those who speak up and speak loud.

There are a few things we can do.

1: Lodge a formal complaint from Govt. Of Pakistan.
2: All media in Pakistan, needs to pick this up, and make this a big domestic issue
3: All Pakistani journalists visiting abroad for assignments, need to be updated about this issue, and see if they can interview media regulatory authorities in the US.
4: The embassy needs to start working, maybe get some sort of a small protest going outside the HBO HQ.
5: Anyone subscribed to them, should cancel their subscription. Spread the news, let all your friends know. They need to hurt fiscally.
6: Pakistani journalists going abroad need to build a narrative around this.

I am no expert in this field. But I feel the government needs to take this seriously and do something. Maybe we can brainstorm some ideas.
HBO and axios should be banned for this

This is unacceptable
This is how media twists for its own interest. From now on, the PM office should record the interview with the foreign journalist and release that version on the TV.
