Seems PAF has acquired another Saab transport aircraft which can be seen at the beginning of the programme.

Yes there was news of this delivery on Civil Aviation websites. @Bilal Khan 777 confirmed that it was meant as replacement of one of the completely destroyed Saab-2000 with a new Radar & other Equipment ordered from Sweden.

So probably J-19 will be converted to AWACS and this will act as transport / trainer in its place.

So I think that adds up considering that book was published in 2014.

The 1 extensively damaged may have been deemed irreparable, hence the replacement.

ACM confirmed that the 2 damaged aircraft were recovered and are flying.
