LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers attacked reporters and cameramen during a protest in Lahore on Monday, Express News reported.

The party has been protesting against alleged rigging in the August 22 by-elections and over 70 PTI leaders and workers had been baton-charged and arrested by the Punjab police on Saturday. However, they were released hours later on the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
PTI’s Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhary apologised and tried to control the situation.

Party members also claimed that those who had attacked the newsmen were not members of the party. Witnesses said that the attackers were carrying PTI flags and used the sticks to beat up the newsmen.

An injured cameraman was shifted to the hospital.

They are just damaging their own roots .. Their unprofessional and aggressive behavior will lead to demolish the image PTI ..

Anyone can enter a protest carrying PTI flags and start beating New reports, not a big deal. PTI is doing protest since 2 days, so why they didn't beat any news reporters in first 2 days if they had those intentions? Why they didn't resist to Police when it stormed peaceful contest?

Why do you think 2 groups of PTI workers fought with each other? One group entered the protest and started spreading anarchy, PTI protesters tried to stop them and they attacked at PTI protesters. PML-N is really pissed from PTI and they have resorted to their past dirty tactics. This sh!t ain't gonna work now Ganjas, come up with something better. First they tried to man handle a peaceful protest via police, when failed they sent in their paid goons..

Media spreads lies and becoming mafia in this country, the untouchables, see the rant of Ary against Balochistan Govt. that's why they deserve some harsh treatment to remain in their limits.

Sir I was physically there today for complete 2 hours, the mood and atmosphere at protest was completely different than this story. It just isn't believable that those guys did this. I just can't buy this. I agree that it was PTI organizers responsibility and I don't want to blame it on PML-N. But I'm just saying whatever I have, being a part of that protest yesterday and today.
