PTI will hold the biggest ever protest in Pakistan: Imran Khan
By Sidrah Moiz KhanPublished: January 19, 2013
ISLAMABAD: While the people and the media of Pakistan have not gotten over Tahirul Qadri’s long march, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan announced on Friday that his party will hold the “biggest ever” protest which will “trump all other protests people have seen in the past.”

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Khan said that he had kept his party members on standby for the protest, which is why, he said, he had earlier announced a 7-point agenda.

“Being a political party, we hold the right to lodge protests. About two million people in the United Kingdom took to the streets in order to protest the Iraq killings,” said Khan.

He said that there was a lot of pressure on him from his party members to join Minhajul Quran International chief Qadri’s long march, however, he said that he told his followers to wait for the “right time”.

Khan said that he will lead the protest “only to get free and fair elections conducted in the country.”

Responding to a question, the PTI chief said that there was “no question” of boycotting the elections, because “the upcoming elections are the most important throughout Pakistan’s electoral history.”

While talking about a caretaker setup to be put in place, Khan said that all political parties should sit together to deliberate upon the issue and that the caretaker prime minister should be the one agreed upon by all the parties.

However, he said that so far, no one had approached his party to discuss the caretaker setup.

At least IK is not making decisions in hurry. I think its a good move. If he gathers more crowd, he will again be spotlight as people are getting over with Qadri fever which was nothing but drama baaji.

I can almost feel Zardari's terrified gasp emanating from Bilawal House after hearing this piece of news changing the happy-go-lucky atmosphere of Karachi. The days of the corrupt are now over. The official blow to their pathetic aspirations for power, loot and authority will come from Imran Khan.

.
IK is wise man and he didn't joined Qadri even after pressure from the PTI members, he will stand his ground unlike Qadri.
He will bring this current government to knees and i believe every one will going to witness this.

.
so what does IK think of tahir ul qadri???? was tahir ul qadri right or wrong from his point of view??????????????/

THAT is the main question

He could have kicked out TuQ and took the charge of his long march and achieved the goal just like Nawaz Sharif did with Imran Khan at the time of restoration of judiciary.

.
Please IK, start this protest and kick this government out no mercy for those who have tried to destroy Pakistan over money.

.
Establishment gave him hint yesterday to give a chance to prove its party. Protest may not effective because it is wast of money and time. Only because of biggest protest free and fair elections can't be guarantied.

That's called politics .... You forgot how NS ditched IK during lawyers movement, He with his supporters was waiting of Long March to reach Islamabad but NS ended it in midway and took all the credit. Same thing IK could have done, He could have started from Lahore with speed of 5 Killo meter per hour with his supporter and could have changed all focus from D-Square to motorway and could have achieved victory before reaching there.
