Why would a lower court judge take the risk? It seems that even the high court happily passed the buck, if the Supreme Court found no evidence, do you really think the HC judges were stupid that they allowed the lower court judgment to stand? Unfortunately, these kind of cases look too dangerous for judges8.

If the story of filing an appeal is true, its unfortunate. Not just for the poor woman but for Pakistan and its institutions. After the PM made a bold statement and there having been death threats to the Supreme court judges, this further inflames the situation. They should have put her on the 1st available flight last night and finished with this. All this business of appeals etc adds unnecessarily to the stress on the judiciary, the executive and the military. Common sense would say that an appeal can't stand, if an appeal did go through and the verdict was overturned, everyone will see it for what it is - a state surrender to militant threats and that will bode terribly for Pakistan. No matter the extent of the threat, removal of this woman from Pakistan would have helped. This looks like a self inflicted wound if true.

Nobody asked for civil war. We asked for accurate measures to be taken. That doesnt mean just start opening fire on them. Charging them with state damages and putting them in jail is one of the options. And wait till these babboons come back and start unrest in the country again.

Exactly, that's what they want and this will be much bigger than anything the country has seen so far.
