I saw around 50 plus projects proposed by WAPDA engineers, from which Pakistan can generate around 35,000 MW. And Kalabagh is the best project. I also visit the site. Pakistan hardly need to invest much to build this dam.

Mountains around the dam are damage too much because of delaying this for so long. But still it is the best project when comparing it verses investment and result.

I'm an Engineer and understand more than you what you stated.

Kalabagh dam should have been built 20 years ago.

Baynazir Ali Bhutto did the major damage by going the IPP way... which is cancer for Pakistan.

It is an idea, but the distance between Tarbela and the proposed site is about 200 km, and the canal to supply water will need to go around or through the mountains around Fateh Jang. Kalabagh Dam is technically the better choice.

It was a good day dreaming article. There is hardly any technical detail mentioned in the article such as the expected cost of such project... The years it's going to take...how much of population will be displaced... the purpose of this dam... If it's going to fertalise the land as well if yes then how much etc...

Good read just like those others trillions of dollars worth of assets in Pakistan but I will wait for any practical work to place or else it's just a waste of time

Bang ON... PTI could never contribute to change, which they might have by joining a non political movement.
That was also the last nail in the coffin of any doubts that PTI stands for change... PTI is hijacked by ex-PPP jiyalas.. who simply cannot win elections in Punjab.. hence they joined hands with PTI.

Swan river is not a river for dam, water is simply not enough, neither that place is good enough to block water flow. That is all salty land, which can't stand infront of the power of water. There are no surrounding mountains are not high enough to compare terbella or kalabagh or Mangla.

The video you posted is telling about the project by sir ganga ram, who build 1 MegaWatt powerplant from some beraage. Pakistan has much bigger projects than that. And many has been proposed by Wapda Engineers, 50 of them I personally seen. there was many in swat, balidistan, which can generate good enough power from the flow.. But Swan river project looks like some burger guy passing by motorway had an idea to build a dam. Not practical. And I didn't mention IK, I don't care who the hell do good to Pakistan. I only want progressive Pakistan from where ever it comes.

SS atleast working on on ground projects, like 1000+ Megawatt solar project, 300+ megawatt biogas projects, solar projects, unlike you ptian fanboys, who still revolving around stupid ideas. While don't know how dam itself works.

Yes we saw all his projects last 5 years. And SS is working on projects as he is minister for water and energy.....
