Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL) has introduced the next-generation wireless broadband — CharJi EVO — offering ultrafast un-interrupted connectivity at speeds up to 36Mbps. Available in convenient Mi-Fi clouds and dongles, the service, which is the addition to PTCL’s epic EVO family of products already serving millions of users across the country, will be initially available in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi and would be expanded to other major cities later. Thanks to the introduction of Charji Evo by PTCL, Pakistan has found itself among a few countries where such ultrafast broadband connectivity is available. “EVO broadband service will enable access to data-rich products and enhance high speed broadband access for customers. We believe high speed broadband is a catalyst for growth and that it should be accessible to everyone,” PTCL’s Chief Marketing Officer, Furqan Qureshi, said. Both Mi-Fi Charji and dongles devices comes up with backward compatibility, means in case the customer uses the device where the coverage of service is not available, it can fall back to the Rev A or Rev B network to offer 9.3 mbps speeds or to 3.1 mbps speeds, which is available in more than 250 cities of the country. Charji Evo supports up to ten simultaneous connections on MiFi Clouds (depending on the model).
