Protest on Ramiz Raja's comment intensfies

Yes Islam believes in Muslim Brother hood but there is a Muslim land an land of kufr right now all 57 Muslim although they are under different leaders are considered Muslim land and other part of the world is kufr. Islam is strictly against racism and so called nation hood only based on ethnicity or language Islam nation hood is based on faith in ALLAH and to be loyal slaves of his PROPHET SAW
@TankMan

As a Pakistani I like to apologize to my Bangladesh brothers and sisters for irresponsible behavior of Rameez Raja during Bangladesh and Afghanistan Cricket World Cup match. Here I also like to point out that Rameez Raja doesn't hold very good opinion even in Pakistan and has an image of being a money minded glamour loving person who will give more importance to Indian Premier League rather then serving interests of his own country. I can assure you that we love and respect Bangladeshi players like our own and would love to see Bangladeshi cricket prosper more in future .

Speak for yourself I give a damn about their cricket. Enough of their topi drama already.

No he didn't he tried his level best to get as many as he could and he did a great job

Let us look at it on the evidence of what really happened versus what your faith demands:

1) Muslim lands left under kufr occupation and rule without a fight, in fact negotiated complicity - check

2) Carving out a nation state when Islam actually frowns on nation states believing in the oneness of the Ummah - check

3) Separating one half of the Indian Ummah from the other, calling one the chosen Pure - check

Do you agree with the position stated above vis a vis Islamic dictates or do you believe that Jinnah in fact as you claim wanted to do things in a staged graded manner, get what he could first, and then wage Jihad for the rest as a good Muslim?

So you butchered lots of Muslim and spilled their blood eh? :butcher:

All your checks are going to be reversed. So checkmate. And I am coming for you :butcher: (if I am alive by that time)

We never butchered anyone man. But if Jinnah really was sticking to the letter of Islam (as against political expediency)

1) He would not create a nation, as that was anti-Islamic

2) He would not give up on Muslim lands and more importantly half of all Muslims he represented (or claimed to)

If you turn around and tell me it was their choice (the half that did not join you), then either Jinnah should not have broken the Ummah (un-Islamic) or he should have waged Jihad for the whole hog.

Stopping midway, negotiating, etc. does come across as a political move which just used Islam and the Muslim identity as a crutch.

Awwww shut up if it was not for WW2 you and I would have some Tom, Dick and Harry as our neighbors.

Jinnah did the best he could under the circumstances and that was most Islamic (reflective of Prophet's action under constraints like Sulah E Hudaibiya) , and lots of Muslims migrating to newly born Pakistan is enough to prove how most of the Muslims looked at it. The ones who remained behind they chose to stay behind, otherwise nobody stopped them from coming to Pakistan.

Not so much WWII as 2.5 million very angry and very short on patience Indian soldiers post WWII. Were it not for them, Gandhi was willing to settle for Dominion status. God save the friggin Queen.

As such, WWII was not our fight one way or the other.

But our tatooz fought for British wearing those long khaki nickers.

Agreed. Banglas are sounding like desi aunties. Drama for no reason. Players from all countries have their names mispronounced. Our Urdu commentators pronounce gora names wrongly at times and vice versa.

.
calling absurd names during match, Shakib Al Hasan= Sakibul Hasan, Soumya = Sumaiya, Mashrafee= Masriphkie,
Rahman=Rehman. Dhaka is so much traffic jam, don't like it, Only Bangladeshis have pet names, Why Bijoy is pet name. Sourav Gauganguly was battling him that time

I have heard that Bangladeshis are calling them selves pure breed of arabs .. as they put sheikh in prefix. :P

Yeah I know. And most of us do not recognize those parts of their battle honors at a national level. The individual regiments do though, as it is honors won by blood and immense bravery, regardless of who they fought with or under which flag at the time. I personally do not agree with the decision, but we were a really hungry country and soldiering ut food into the stomachs of hungry kids. Cant sit here 70 years hence, stomach nice filled, in front of computer and pass judgment.

Pakistan break-up was never about language, and the Urdu vs Bangla thing. That was the more politically correct account for a sanitized history. Something many Pakistanis (like Rameez Raja included) till today use a a poorly disguised surrogate proxy for the real thing. Which quite simply is the racial disdain of the fair tall well built Punjabi for the dark slightly chinky short pretty scrawny Bengali. We see it right here on this very forum, so no point in even trying to over rationalize the whole thing. What the Bangladeshis have picked up on is the racial thing. Pronunciation etc. is just for the public consumption part. So yes, in the eyes of Islam all Muslims are equal, regardless of color race ethnicity or nationality, and in the eyes of God (and themselves when it comes to their fabled Ummah) they are one people. But the echoes of 1971 reverbating even today pretty conclusively proved the very superficial lip service to that theory. As did the Partition in 1947 on the basis of the two nation theory. How one can reconcile Islam and the demand for a separate nation, when in fact Islam has no concept of nationhood, is not only beyond me, but seems to me to be an anachronism best left unexplained. Because it cannot be explained.

Who would understand these feelings more than Indians, and they sowed these same feelings in Bangldeshis minds before 71. monkey feel monkey tell other monkey how to feel

I realise that history can be painful.

Especially when all you remember of it is retreat and massacre.

In the Marathas you met a foe that fought dirtier than you ever could. And we pride ourselves not in chivalry of war, but making the enemy shit his p.ants.

Dear guys, please dont derail the thread :) :)

Pathetic performance of Bangladesh is quite an interesting topic in itself.

Rameez is a good man ..this is nothing but victim mentality of bangladeshis ..It will take little time for them to come out of this mentality ..No need to punish rameez raza for this stupid complaints ..But he need to be careful not to hurt these overly sensitive people
