The reserve despite being 3 times that of Pakistan, is too tiny for a population of 160 million. We dont have big daddy to take care of us in the rainy season unlike Pakistan. We cant offer no strategic land neither can work as mercenaries for pappa.

Better you ask the govt to build a better 4-lane Gabtoli-Aricha road. It is in total shambles. However, many people here talk about many many development projects that I find on paper but not in reality. The progress will remain minimal because engineers in the country are more encouraged to steal funds than to learn from the developed countries.

Politicians themselves are ignorant. So, they are unable to lead them to learn. Think of the Hardinge Bridge which was designed and built between 1910 to 1916 by the British engineers. Even after a long 100 years, BD engineers cannot do a similar project by themselves because they are incapable to learn how to design a similar steel truss bridge with strong foundations.

However, do not you think it is strange that the Indian engineers can do things like this, but not BD? A country's development is totally associated with the process of learning by its citizens. So, I ask you to design a similar bridge over any other smaller river and then claim about development. A piecemeal job here and there by the Chinese, Japanese or Indian companies does not testify development of BD itself. Where is BD participation?

There is no need to be sensitive about this. We in Bangladesh did not cause this turn of affairs, and have no skin in that game still. However the fact remains that our policies and conservative fiscal principles have helped our people and reserves. Unimaginable or not, reserves are certainly higher than Pakistan. Mixed feelings. Theres worse stuff out there thats legal etc....so I am of the argument we need common consistent standards across the board if we are to make the weed = illegal/legal argument alongside such things as tobacco and alcohol.

The only thing that scared me was the amount of university and highschool students that picked up on it because of the hype created by the government.
I'm not for it but I feel drinking is far more bigger of a problem in underaged students. It's scary the amount they drink at the ages of 15 and 16.
