When they made Islamabad capital of pakistan,they said same things like this will bring more revenue and things like that.reality is more than half of Karachi is now under complete control of other ethnicities including Punjabis.you can walk to the streets and you can visit any major company in Karachi where you find out that the CEO or director of company is a Punjabi.basically they sidelined local people and now Karachi is under complete control of ppp and Punjabi business community.problem is locals are getting nothing,no jobs,nothing.locals working in different private companies to take care of their families but no major post for locals.corruption of ppp has destroyed Sindh but not karachi.karachi is still a big market and that's why you can see so many different people here.basically there is problem in every province except punjab.sindh has problems, Balochistan is having problems.i think Punjab should leave other provinces resources because locals deserves jobs in every province.karachi has more job opportunities than probably entire Punjab but why locals aren't getting any jobs? You can't blame Karachi for low revenue when you transfer every major business to your favorite place and when you occupy every single major post in Karachi.

Last 20 years were utter ruin for Karachi. Security establishment was behind MQM but grievances were real. Instead working for the development of the city MQM and Altaf went in a different direction. Altaf just sold out, and in the ensuing troubles industries were moved out of Karachi. Lot many people were also happy to see Karachi losing its central status.
Karachi still runs the economic engine of Pakistan but it is an orphan city. Racist PPP wont do anything. PLMN was gift by Punjab, by Punjab and for Punjab. NS and nothing for Karachi just Lahore, central Punjab, and his sugar business with india.
No one owns karachi. Just collect tax and turn face. MQM is cut to the size, but with same deprivation and with infra in ruins, another form of MQM can raise its head which will be more difficult to control. Hope new MQM like party will be non-violent and patriotic.

Point here is, hypocrisy, betrayal, chauvinistic supremacy and denials are in the dna of the region.
First Prime Minister, Liaquat Ali Khan was assassinated in collaboration between punjabi civil and military establishment. An Urdu speaking PM could not be tolerated by the punjabi aristocracy.
Similarly, East Pakistan has to be dismembered because they were more than in population in rest of the Pakistan and could not be beaten on the basis of ballot.
Both matters never discussed in a transparent way in Pakistani electronic media, especially assasination of Liaquat Ali Khan because so many otherwise respectable faces and segments of the society would be exposed.

This will surmise where Pakistani nation, if it can be called a nation, stand today. Pakistan exports about 24 billion US dollars whereas S. Korea's 500 billion US dollars. Responsibility rests over ruling class. Major blame goes to Punjabi civil and military bureaucracy, and aristocracy, though PPP Sindhi leadership is also a major partner in crime.

As a Karachi born and bred I say make Karachi a federal territory, please free Karachi from clutches of PPP/MQM scum bags.
