A large group of pro-Palestine supporters took to the streets in Sunnyside, Queens Saturday afternoon, in a demonstration that got testy at times, video shows.
At one point, a small contingent of the group surrounds a black car in the middle of the street and can be heard arguing with another unidentified group of people.
A young man briefly hops onto the truck of the car as several demonstrators throw water into the air out of bottles, and at least one plastic bottle is seen hurling through the air.
The majority of the crowd is heard reacting negatively to the animosity, which does not escalate into violence on the footage viewed by The Post, as a tall man with a bullhorn works to disperse agitators, and a man with his shirt off paces back and forth commanding people to “back the f–k up.”
Other footage shows large groups of peaceful protestors marching down the streets waving Palestinian flags and signs that read “Queens for Palestine” while chanting “Free Palestine.”
The NYPD said there were no reports of arrests.
The demonstration comes as both the Jewish and Muslim communities in New York and across the US remain on edge, following the deadly 11-day conflict in the West Bank that left some 250 people dead, mostly Palestinians.

Supporters of both Israel and Palestine clashed in Times Square Thursday as tensions in the Middle East spilled into the Crossroads of the World.
Dozens of people were taken in to custody for their roles in hate-fueled attacks, police said.
“It’s absolutely disgusting and unacceptable,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said of Thursday’s violence.
“We had a man viciously beaten simply because he appeared to some individuals to be Jewish. We had folks throwing very potent fireworks and creating harm to others and burning at least one person,” he continued. “This is unacceptable.”

I shot some if not most of the footage you see here

Similar scene were witnessed across the UK. Many Pakistanis attended the rallies which I appreciate. If only our people also had the same enthusiasm to support the Kashmir cause or protest against foreign funded terrorist attacks and drone strikes under the previous Obama administration.
If only palestinians supported us on Kashmir.

Do rallies do anything?
I have never known government to change its stance on rallies.

Arabs know nothing about Kahsmir. Those that do prefer to ignore as business ties with india are more important.
It seems Pakistanis are more pro Palestinian then pro Pakistani.

I think it is more to do with Masjid al Aqsa, if ii wasn't for Al Aqsa mosque then Pakistani's
would not care just like they turned a blind eye to Yemen.

The Western media is mostly controlled by Jews,
White nations have been in the Jew grip since 1694 , when the Jews cunningly set up the Bank of England to service debt owed to Jews.

The people who politically represent the Kashmir cause in the UK are idiots. They have no social media activity, no English language material, these uncles even organise the rallies for weekdays rather than weekends. Who's going to attend your rally if we're all at work, college, school etc? They don't care, as long as the uncles get their pictures in Pakistani newspapers.

The Pakistani embassy and consulates are also rubbish, always happy to have their pictures taken with the same old uncles - kashmir solidarity day done, tick box exercise.

This is a perfect example of their incompetence....

Monday morning, they hold a protest. Meanwhile hundreds of thousands attended protests across the country on the weekend in support for Palestine. They don't even advertise them. Just these same old faces.

Pak youth were drawn into this recent protest yet had no real understanding behind the long standing dispute and oppression of the Palestinians. Its amazing how they still turned out to support yet have no interest to support Kashmir or Pakistan.
Sorry, but some Pakistanis are confused with their identity and believe they are Arabs.

You under estimate our young people. This is a disease in Pakistanis, they all assume the youth are stupid.

The Palestinians are organised and have an international movement like BDS. They are all over social media, they reach out to like minded people, they bring millions out onto the streets in thier favour inspite of the Zionist media machine.

The Kashmiri movements are junk in comparison.

What English language media do you see about Kashmir? What social media content do you see about Kashmir? What online toolkits do they prepare? What equivalent to BDS is there? What like minded groups are engaged? None - nothing.

These egoistic idiots called tehreek Kashmir UK don't even send WhatsApp messages about rallies. There is zero promotion of these events. Who in thier right minds has a protest on a Monday?

Even the massive protests organised after the article 370 nonsense was on a Thursday. There is no regard for the common man.

I have worked in the Pakistani community for 20 years and have extensive experience from primary, secondary and college level backgrounds. Major issue drugs, gangs, poor attainment, lack of parental involvement, lack of understanding about their cultural heritage but ready to engage in pro Palestinian rallies.

In what capacity were you involved with these communities and in which country? You describe a lazy stereotype.

I've been very proactive in my community. You come across as a lazy keybord stereotype. Il wait until you assemble your foot soliders.

In that case Citizen Khan, if British Pakistani's are the drug dealing uneducated, neglected-at-a-young-age, ferral underclass you portray them as, why is it that they can organise themselves to attend Palestinian protests, but not Kashmiri ones?

What makes them associate with the Palestinian cause?

- Do the bags of cannabis, heroin and cocaine come decorated with Palestinian advertisements?
- Do the Palestinian protest organisers ship them all in from drug dens, the benefits office and job centres?
- Maybe the narcotics are laced to create Pro Palestinain hallucinations?

===========

The reason people show up for these Pro-Palestinian rallies is because;

1. The attrocities in Palestine are on the mainstream media. They're on Al Jazeera, on TRTWorld, available in English language, and can be shared on social media to raise awareness. The issue of Kashmir is only in the Pakistani press, it's a sidenote even there. The news available in the English language is limited.

2. The social media campaigning for Kashmir is limited. Nobody pays for campaigns, Pakistani origin personalities don't mention it very often, where is the Kashmiri equivalent of this image?

The facts and fgures aren't regularly circulated. How many people apart form those who actively follow the news know about the figures of the deaths, the mass graves, the number of occupying forces? Why are they not created into info-graphics?

3. The Kashmiri movements, especially in the UK make ZERO effort to engage with the community. Google TeK UK events, 100% guaruntee the same old faces in all the pictures. Do you know who that Maulana in the front of the crowd is? I know him, I prayed behind him for years. The man has an ego the size of Kashmir. They organised a rally for Monday, he mentioned it at Jummah on the friday as a side note. No posters, no buses, no whatsapp messages. And then a MONDAY - why? What was wrong with sunday? They do this for all the events.
======

On the few occassions where charities took a front line on the issues, British Pakistani's have shown up in numbers. After the earthquake in Kashmir huge amounts of fundraising was done.

After the article 370 revocation, the protests in London attracted hundreds of thousands, but even then they had it organised for a weekday. On that occassion though they did organise it, and share the details on whatsapp and social media.
