Prime Minister Modi Fumbles on Pakistan

dekh kudiye, being a sardar doesn't meantalwaar leke ke hamesha ghumne ... it mean believing also
Talwaar aaj nhi toh kal uthni hi hai :D

Mein talwaar ki baat nahi kar rahi hun. Mentally strong ban. Much of the war with Pakistan is psychological warfare. It is a lost nation, so do not give in to its tantrums. Ek side hai jo maang raha hai aur ek side hai jis ke paas woh hai joh doosra maang raha hai. Why should there be give and take? What is Pakistan giving for any taking? What does it have that we want? Why should we give anything at all?

your own politicians aren't even Mode to Talk to each other, phle aapas mein decide karlo kisne baat karni hai :p:

yahi tu kamal ki baat hai , Dosto se baat nai karen gay , dushmano se krlen gay :D

why do you think we are giving anything away ? they will still use Indian passport, Indian army will still guard the borders
It is just that kashmiri's on both sides will be able to reunite with their family

I think modi's step was very short sighted...
in NS he has a partner who at least on paper pro-Indian (or at least not rabid anti indian).. who has experience and confidence to take the talks forward...
he should have matches NS's good words with his own.. and take one step at a time.

how dare you call us dushman..

i wouldnt take the words of their beloved dear leader - an extremist and a terrorist - very seriously

at the end of the day he's just another sheep which a whole bunch of bharti fanboys see as a wolf

I blame sunny deol for this absurd idea about sardars... we need more movies like rocket singh.. for people to realize that sardars and handpumps can live together happily..

Modi's cancellation of talks is the exact opposite of a fumble, widely applauded everywhere, except it seems on NYTimes.

the hilarious thing is - he had not issue over talks when we were using your troops along the LoC as target practice but suddenly our diplomatic mission proposes talks with Kashmiri nationalist representatives and suddenly the talks are a non-starter. I think its more an issue of his butt-hurt and pride taking a beating

p.s. the talks have gone ahead anyways, on indian soil

Indian love to praise themselves on everything lame and stupid. Let them praise themselves for a few days after the cancellation of talks. They would come to senses soon.

dude - these are the same pride-battered people who thrashed Kashmiri exchange students over their loyalties during a game of cricket!

Since Pakistan has shown middle finger by its ambassador meeting Kashmiri leaders very next day of cancellation of talks.

The question now here is that will hindutva and RSS/BJP fan would continue praising themselves or would come to senses and realize how useless this "act of aggression" was.

we can't tackle with naxal's for this long ... yup we lack
But you can't bomb the naxals .. 90% of naxals fight for injustice we have meted out to them, it is our fault ... it is in our interest to resolve things with dialogue .. same is with NE
We need strong policies and need to act quick

they fight injustice by bombing your railway stations, kidnapping nuclear scientists (and dumping their bodies face down in swamps) - killing entire squads of your CPRF (80 killed, weapons taken in one single engagement)

yeah you have your national priorities in order

they know they cant do diddly squat

India is status quo power, and has been trying really hard to avoid talks with pakistan. At the same time India wants to tell world its not the one who is to be blamed, its pakistan...

Since 2008 thats what unofficial position has been inspite of talks and more talks.
BTW congrats on talking to separatists on Indian soil... you guys are winners..

Ahh why don't you contribute like a elite member again ?
Does my statement say naxals aren't a menace ?

its funny when you worry about seperatists whose cause revolves around a land that isnt even yours - but you dismiss an organization WITHIN your country that has bombed and maimed scores, destroyed infrastructure and engaged in other anti-state acts unabated

again - its b/c your national priorities arent in order...that's how I see it at least

Because they are not separatists ! they fight for rights (most of them)

those well knowledge on the Kashmir conflict know who is the real aggressor/mass murderer

"status quo power" ....you come up with that yourself?

talks have led to nothing constructive, which is why not just hard-liners but many moderates in Pakistan feel that they are an utter waste of time

BTW congrats on talking to separatists on Indian soil... you guys are winners..

it was important in the sense that we need to continually show that we put more value and priority on talks with Kashmiri nationalist groups over talks with the indians who are the main source of the problem vis-a-vis Kashmir

Because they are not separatists ! they fight for rights (most of them)

Fight for rights by butchering your CPRF day in and day out. Right.

There are plenty of other groups (approximately 22) that are seperatist groups in india. Its in your interests to focus on those rather than harp on about Kashmiri nationalist groups fighting for their freedom
