I agree with you. We shouldn't stop there, we should also accept every single poor person in Bangladesh, India and Afghanistan and just become a giant cesspool for poor people. Forget having a border and immigration laws and regulations (common sense in other words).

Also there is no war in Bangladesh that I'm aware of so not sure why you consider Banglas refugees, AFAIK they got their country in 1971 and Bangladesh is doing better than Pakistan economically.

And as for Rohingya refugees (who are basically Bangalis) well they have Bangladesh next door that can take care of them.

And as for Afghans, well we already know how much they love Hindu India and always show support for Indian army when they kill our soldiers in Kashmir.

Great job at taking my post out of context. Where did I mention to allow more illegals into the country. I simply said, that the people who are already here and have integrated with the rest of the poor population of Karachi, they should be given due opportunities and basic human rights.

The reason I am calling some Bangladeshi's refugees is because they came here to Pakistan after the 1971 War and independence. They wanted to be recognized as Pakistani's.

They are not a strain.
They are undocumented. Which means there are legal implications and financial implications in terms of planning out the distribution of resources. Lawmaking is needed as well. This is hardly a cake walk.

You are contradicting yourself. Giving citizenship to those and only to those who are already here and not to refugees which arrive later does not incentivize illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is continuous, he plans to provide citizenship to those who have been here in Pakistan for years, not to any and all illegals entering the country.

And you're right, we shouldn't reward criminal behavior. But here we have two options, spend an unprecedented amount of effort, money and workforce into finding and forcing out all illegals which are well over two million at least, so practically near impossible, resulting in continued violence, rise of crime and poverty... or we provide basic education, uplift them out of poverty and make this a blessing in disguise, make the best out of it, which is more practical because it is their welfare; they would be more than willing to co-operate for it, and their welfare means the welfare of this city and country.
