Urdu, like Hindi, is a form of Hindustani. It evolved from the medieval (6th to 13th century) Apabhraṃśa register of the preceding Shauraseni language, a Middle Indo-Aryan language that is also the ancestor of other modern Indo-Aryan languages, including the Punjabi dialects. Around 75% of Urdu words have their etymological roots in Sanskrit and Prakrit, and approximately 99% of Urdu verbs have their roots in Sanskrit and Prakrit

Urdu has nothing to do with Hindi and both languages are rivals in subcontinent since long, even they played big role in partition of Hindustan.

Unfortunately many Indians don't know that Urdu - just like present day Pakistanis - has also come from Arabia and it has nothing to do with Sanskrit.

I'm glad you now revealed the correct information. Good luck :-)

Unfortunately I don't have much time. But I'll be honest, I don't understand Urdu completely as it has few loan words from Persian. But the grammer seems identical to Hindi, it's okay if you don't want to accept it though.. 2 nation theory after all, yeah? Good day:)
