President of India’s message on the eve of National Day of Turkey

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of the Republic of Turkey on the eve of their National Day (October 29, 2015).

In his message to His Excellency Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of the Republic of Turkey, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with great pleasure that I extend warm greetings and felicitations to Your Excellency and to the friendly people of Turkey on the occasion of your National Day.

India and Turkey have enjoyed traditionally close relations based on shared values and historical linkages. India is committed to strengthening and expanding our bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of our two peoples.

Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your good health and for the welfare and prosperity of the friendly people of the Republic of Turkey”.
