Source please?

Yeah, provide a source please. If true, this is highly surprising, but conciliatory move by Mushy.

Well if President Musharraf has agreed then their must be a reason behind it. May be the Chief Justice agreed not to question President Musharraf's authority. But I will believe it when I see it.

"Pervaiz Musharraf ki Judjon ki bahali se agree kerne ya na kerne se koi farak nahi perta, chahe wo mane ya na mane Judges bahal honge. Or na hee hamein koi aisa pegham phoncha hai aisa or na hee is ki koi zaroorat hai" Farhat-Ullah Baber (PPPP)

Well, there is a good body of judges that say that legally it can be done by an executive order. PPP wants both a parliamentory act and executive order to reinstate judges. However the news doing the rounds today is that Asif Zardari is not too keen on reinstating Iftiqar Chaudhry. It may have something to do with the fact that former CJ is nonpliable on issues and cannot be bribed either. He may create tha same problems for AZ that he did for PM.
I guess we have to wait and see

:rofl:Moulana Fazal ur Rehman has come up with his version that any judge who has taken oath under PCO should not be reinstated:pakistan:

.
well That should pretty much clear the whole deck!!! What he does not understand or want to say is that the first PCO was ratified by the Parlianment before the judges took oath.

The situation has taken another complex turn. Mr Fakhur ud Din did not turn up in todays meeting of committee formed for the restoration of judges. Serious differences have come up regarding adjustment of PCO judges ( Adjustment of PCO judges was agreed in Dubai talks between AZ andf NS):hitwall:.

Fakharuddin quits body on judges
* Says he has ‘serious differences’ with Law Minister Farooq Naek and other members
By Masood Rehman

ISLAMABAD: Justice (r) Fakhruddin G Ebrahim on Monday quit the committee formed by the ruling coalition to prepare a framework for restoration of the sacked judges.

“I have decided to separate myself from the legal committee, because I have serious differences with other members of the committee, particularly Farooq H Naek,” Ebrahim told Daily Times. He said he had reservations on the issues being discussed by the committee because those issues were not included in the Murree Declaration. “Ask Mr Naek, why I am not sitting in the committee,” he said to a question.

But Naek said he was not aware of Ebrahim’s decision. “I do not know about Fakhruddin G Ebrahim’s decision to quit the committee.” The committee has been tasked to deliberate on how to restore the judges in accordance with the Murree Declaration and subsequent notification for their restoration, and at the same time retaining the incumbent Supreme Court judges.

The other members of the committee are: Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Aitzaz Ahsan, Barrister Abdul Hafeez Pirzada, Senator Raza Rabbani and advocate Khawaja Haris.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif had announced the formation of the committee on Friday after two days of talks with Pakistan People’s Party Co-chairman Asif Zardari in Dubai.

According to Murree Declaration, the judges had to be restored before April 30, but the date was extended to May 12 because the two parties could not agree on a framework.
