Full bench to hear petition challenging Malik’s eligibility

Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry comprised the bench

The Lahore High Court chief justice has constituted a full bench to hear a petition, challenging the eligibility of Interior Minister Rehman Malik.

Barrister Farooq Hassan maintained in his petition that granting of pardon to Malik by the president was illegal and unconstitutional and no convict could be a member of parliament. The hearing of the case will start on April 4 by the full bench of the LHC under Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry. Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry comprised the bench.
