President El-Sisi meets the Commander of the Navy and the head of the German company Lorsen for the manufacture of ships and frigates
Ambassador Bassam Radi, spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the meeting witnessed discussions on cooperation frameworks between the Egyptian side and the German company that has deep experiences in the field of shipbuilding of various models, especially with regard to the transfer of shipbuilding technology in cooperation with the arsenals of the Navy and the companies of the Marine Industries Authority. In addition to training technical workers and raising the capabilities of Egyptian cadres in these fields in accordance with international standard specifications and quality requirements, for the general benefit of the Egyptian Navy, in cooperation with one of the largest ship fortresses in the world, which owns 8 shipbuilding arsenals in Germany and the world, as well as It recently won a contract to manufacture 11,000-ton destroyers for the German Navy.
In this regard, the President stressed the importance of cooperation with the German company in view of the global professional reputation it enjoys in the field of shipbuilding, while the Chairman of the Lorsen Company praised Egypt's security, stability and promising opportunities for direct investment, especially with the improvement in the investment climate and the efforts to develop Infrastructure carried out by the Egyptian government.
