On 10th of January 1966 Pakistan and India signed the famous Tashkent treaty in Soviet union, ending the September 1965 war between the two.
On 11th of January the Indian Prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri who signed the treaty with President of Pakistan Field marshal Ayub Khan , died in Mysterious circumstances.
Picture shows his coffin being carried to Tashkent Airport . Soviet prime minister Kosygen(on the right) and Pakistani President Ayub are carrying the Coffin of Indian prime minister Shastri.
Kosygen and Ayub Khan were good friends.
India still classifies the death of shastri as "Mysterious and unexplained".
