What's new

Present Blasphemy law of Pakistan is against Quran and Sunnah & Fatwa of Imam Abu Hanifa

Blasphemy laws are here to stay. Please get over it.

We should be fighting against the abuse of laws and not the laws itself as there is just too much support for these laws in our country

@veg @Manidabest @PurpleButcher
some examples of how Prophet treated who misbehaved:

Person peed in mosque.Prophet stopped all from hurting him.
At 9:40+ Sahabi's mother insulted Prophet.Prophet prayed for her.

Again @ 4:00+
Qureish even sweared at Prophet, kantay bichaay, galay mai phandaa daalaa, camel's stomach (oojhrey) oper phainkee, patharr maraay = blasphemy, blasphemy, blasphemy...!!! But how did he respond!!! When he over-powered them all at fatah-e-makkkah...!!! He practiced forgiveness... That's Sunnah.

innocent people are murdered in the name of Prophet. This is not a religious topic. It's a topic about society of Pakistan and about not taking someone's life unjustly

There was no blasphemy law in Pakistan, and rarely any cases of blasphemy happened during all that time. Also there was no lynching and people were not so fanatic.

How then this blasphemy law got popularity, and how people started lynching?

It all happened due to the "Brain Washing".

Similarly, if people come to know the exact fatwa of Imam Abu Hanfia, and the true Sunnah of holy prophet, then off course people could come out of this brain washing.

Reality is this that all the true Ahadith were hidden who prove this blasphemy law against the established Sunnah of holy prophet.

Reality is this that fatwa of Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Shafii and Imam Malik was hidden (who all agree that repentance of blasphemer is accepted).

During brainwashing, this lie was spread that whole Ummah has IJMA that blasphemer should be killed and there is no repentance accepted.

In front of established Sunnah of Prophet (the Ahadith quoted above), present blasphemy law has no chance of standing. It is only this that people don't know the truth. More they are told about the truth, more they will leave the fanaticism. It may take 10 years, or 20 years, or 50 years, or 100 years, but in the end the Truth will prevail.

Moreover:

(1) There is already a great support present for eradicating the blasphemy law from people who want moderate Islam.
(2) Moreover, sooner or later Pakistan is going to face International Pressure too against these blasphemy laws.

To stop abuse of laws there must be reforms to it. If simply telling people not to do something worked, then Pakistan would have developed into a superpower by now.

Also the law should ideally apply equally to all religions, whereas at the moment it is biased mainly for Muslims.

This case was taken to high courts, federal shariat court and supreme court many times and every time it is proven according to Quran and Sunnah. This is not a forum to discuss this law because ulema cannot defend the law here specially in "angraizi".

If you want to pardon the blasphemers then first of all announce pardon for killers, rapists and traitors because abusing the best of creation Tajdar e Khatam e Nabuwat صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم is the biggest crime.

Baba Sufi Barkat Ali (r.a) once said, if someone says that you will go to hell for your deeds in love of Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم (like what some mullahs from TTP and Daesh do) then simply reply them that i am ready to go to hell for my love.

This feeling and love is beyond everything. A Muslim cannot tolerate blasphemy, or the suppport for blasphemers. Anyone support blasphemers and advocates soft law for them is condemnable. You guys are not ready to accept the decisions of courts, the law and the constitution.

Who is the author of this original article? What is their qualification to make this judgement?

Anyone who has studied Islam knows that the approach taken to deriving the laws of Islam is very methodical and has very similar principles to modern historians and scientists. A crucial part of this process is;
- those involved in the process have a comprehensive academic knowledge of Islam
- Have a specialised understanding on the areas they are passing judgement on
- Ideally there is a peer based concensus on any new fatwas (peer not pir...lol)

Unless the author of this article fits into the above category, or is referencing the works of someone who does, then they have no right to be passing such judgements.

Unfortunately the ease of access to information has done academia damage as well as supported it. There are people who equate reading information to gaining knowledge; these are not the same thing. Knowledge is knowing how to correctly apply information. Today google Sheikhs are popping up left right and centre, passing proclamation at will. This is the same thinking that has led to millions thinking hemp is the cure to everything and the earth is flat.

I do not know if what is written in this article is valid or not, because I am not a subject matter expert in Islamic law. I suspect none of you reading this are either. We can discuss, but we shouldn't consider our viewpoints so matter of fact.

The fact that the law is so incomplete is thevreason that it's abused.
One only has to say someone said the following against the prophet pbuh. He will be arrested beaten and more than likely killed.
Now the prophet himself was stoned abused thrown rubbish at had hai sandals full of blood and what did he do.....he forgave. Now how do these law reflect the teaching of the prophet pbuh.
Personally if I head someone a use my prophet. I wouldn't engage him until he was calm and then I would try to educate him not kill him.
Example the guy India involved in the destruction of Babri musjid is now a Muslim and building musjids everywhere. Had he been killed we would have lost a soul and a builder.
