Prepare India For 2-Front War: Parliamentary Panel

Its called planning for any eventuality.

Its call sheer madness mate. See your own countrymen are calculating about "partial" involvement of China.

Chinese haven't been too keen to fight along with Pakistan in the last three wars, however you may daydream as much. While you are at it, do also draeam up how million plus chinese are going to come over the himalyas.

Are you in your senses to write that? Who is talking about "two front war" here? Is that statement came from Pakistani Parliament? Huh.. ? If it is anyone, it is India day dreaming and asking to prepare for a two-front my friend.

As for Pakistan army you are right, they aren't much trouble. Last major war 100,000 surrendered after just 1300 were killed, simple maths tells me we may need to kill 6000-7000 Pakistani armymen to make the whole of it surrender...

:) only lol to this part! Now I know from where do Indian media hire its staff!

Well its simple really, we definitely do not trust Pakistan at all because you guys keep attacking us to "conquer" Kashmir. Pakistan initiated the war in 1965 as well as Kargil for Kashmir, and while they are in a weak position today, who knows what madness your govt and army will indulge in tomorrow.

As for China, I personally dont think there is any chance of a full scale conflict wit China (as other Inidans here mentioned earlier), but better be prepared than not. As a matter of fact, had we been talking of practicing or perfecting our two front war tactics in before 1962, we would not have lost to China back then. But better late than never.

.
India failed to achieve its objectives and Pakistan defended its territory and didn't loose to India anything other than human lives and eventually, Pakistan Won! :pakistan: Definitely!

You attacked us in 65 and in the end were fighting for your survival near Lahore and you say we lost the war??

If this is the logic your are gonna apply to the discussions then no one will be able to have a neutral debate with you.

.
They were loosing LAHORE and say they had 100s of KMs of Indian land :woot:

well mateys, we can atleast cite one city which was about to fall.. and u people were controlling some deserts in rajasthan

According to Gen. Hameed gul, it is a night mare for any military commander to fighting a two front war. If India finds China inevitably as its enemy, India should have re-thought its relationship with Pakistan to avoid a two-front war scenario. But I don't know what makes India think that they can fight a two-front war fighting two nuclear powered countries and would still be able to win and survive. India has twice the number of soldiers as compared to Pakistan but China's women force alone has greater potential than entire Indian force and if you combine both China and Pakistan, you can calculate the combined potential vs Indian Potential.

If you need to learn from a recent example, see how USA and NATO lost their two front war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Is India alone more powerful than combined potential of USA and NATO??? and when India will be fighting against Pakistan and China, the countries with full military potentials and not sanctioned prone Iraq and torn Afghanistan? Seriously, 30 years down the road we will find historians right where India made its pivotal mistake.

But when Leaders go mad, they are hard to cure.

Just give him anesthesia otherwise he might face another psychological stroke :rofl::rofl:

How is your assessment of USA and NATO loosing their wars in Afghanistan? Do you think USA has lost the war because Taliban has taken over USA or Europe? USA/NATO lost their war because they failed to gain their objectives and that makes Taliban in Afghanistan WIN.

If your assessment is India won the 65 war.. can you mention a single element of victory? India had rather lost several hundred kilometers to Pakistan. If India was winning.. why the holy hell it agreed for a seas-fire :) ? Get out of delusions my friend.. your countrymen are too good at making dramas but dramas are dramas not facts.

your assessment is wrong. Americans never try to win any war. They only feed the government of the country of their objective. They have been successful to keep Karzai in the chair and keep taliban away from Kabul.

To those who feel that India preparing for the 2 front war is unnecessary or MAD, here's one line:

Hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.
We all know that the economic and the political environment in the world is such that it is nearly impossible that two nuclear power states will go to war.

However, that does not mean that it can be fully ruled out.

Let us consider that a 1962 style war breaks out and Pakistan join China (Just assume it.).
Would you like to be caught unaware? Would you like to lose the fight just because you never prepared for it?
Yes, India can use its nuclear arsenal. But then, would it not be a MAD scenario for both the countries. If we have enough conventional capabilities to at least STOP CHINA and attack Pakistan at the same time, what's wrong with it?

Because India was completely neutral in the International politics while you had the support of the west(yes the same west which you all complain so much about) . It had nothing to do with your military's strength. So India was forced diplomatically to agree to the ceasefire:).Compare this with the 1971 when we had the Soviet backing and you guys had the backing of West, in which we were not forced cease fire even though US tried many times. We ended the war on our own right.

Also, as some other friend mentioned here, A Moronic Indian official(who should have been hanged in my opinion) also underestimated the strength of the Indian reserves

I didn't Knew that India had an objective...........But for Pakistan it definitely had..........KASHMIR.............You failed in it.........

Hmm... Maybe you are confusing Chinese men with Chinese women. I know most Chinese men look like their women and it could be confusing sometimes, but with a trained eye you could spot the difference between men and women in china. Obviously you are a n00b in identifying them.

Yeah man, Indian totally cornered Pakistan in 65. The Indians were sooooooo amazing that they ALMOST took over Lahore.........which is like 30km from the border.........SHUT UP, JIHAY HIND!!!!!!!!!!!!1111one

yeah.. as simple as that. Don't why some people have comprehensive issues or maybe just for the heck of bragging that US got defeated they hail talibs.

US never wanted to exterminate the talibans.. they wanted them to flee for their lives like chickens in a poultry and overthrow them from Kabul which they did. And the afghan govt. weather it is pro or anti US, one thing is certain, TALIBANS aint coming back to power. They maybe a part of a coalition though.

One does not have be a Guderian to know that a multi front war is not the best option.

Neither does one need the opinion of Hamid Gul whose claim to fame has been clandestine ops and has no battles to claim military experience of or from. His proximity to Zia is what propelled him in his career.

Nations however must cater for a worst case scenario. This is done both by military and diplomatic means.

India is doing both.

U r still worried about '65, when just 6 years later in '71, we partitioned your country in a week and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had to appeal for leniency.:rofl::rofl:

Who do you think had the last laugh?
