Islamabad (December 27, 2018): Prime Minister Imran Khan will be touring Turkey in January where he will hold a meeting with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other top Turkish leaders.

According to sources, this will be the fifth visit of the PM Imran Khan since he took charge as the Premier of the country.

In the meetings, Pakistan is expected to invite and encourage Turkish investors to invest in Pakistan.

. . . . . .
What kind of deal do we expect from Turkey?
It is a diplomatic visit to both Qatar & Turkey and issues of regional security will be discussed. Also bilateral ties will come under discussion on furthering cooperation between the two countries. A lot of MoUs and agreements will be signed in different fields. No economic package will be sought however trade and CPEC will be focused.

.
I don't like Erdogan or his AKP Party and what he is done in Syria for the last few years, but I support Turkish-Pakistani relations regardless, but this trip should convince the Turks to invest in Pakistan and place them as a partner in the CPEC projects also whatever gaps Turkey and the PRC have Pakistan should help fill those gaps

. .
His visits are calculated and he does his homework before visiting. Not like that bastard Sharif who remained on a tour sphere through out his tenure and not a single penny in FDI was achieved.
He takes only the ministers/advisors who are relevant to the particular visit and have some tangible reasons to be there. He has a list of objectives in his mind and mostly things are preplanned. Furthermore, the visit last until necessary and not a single extra day is spent there ....so no entertainment and of course no extravaganza at the expense of the poor nation. Furthermore, no embarrassing moments like shameless hugging sessions with Sarah Paulin (hockey mama) or reading from chits and stuttering.

He is already doing that. Check what he wears on international visits. Unlike the pot-bellied NS and Zardari , two ugly SoBs who used to wear English suiting on international visits, the handsome PM IK wears Pakistan's national dress.

That's the job of minister for tourism and if relevant he should be included in the entourage but I don't think the agenda includes this at the moment. However, Pakistan is going to relax the visa requirements for many countries so Qatar and Turkey are good contenders for this benefit.
