IMO in many ways I see west purporting to be the fountain of knowledge and east following west. But hey that's just my opinion

I find it a bit difficult to believe that for the 700 year gap there was no homosexuality in India. There were gays then, there are gays now. It is not for the government to judge a citizen's choice of lifestyle and it is indeed criminal on the part of the government to discriminate against its own citizens.

I havent come across any literary references in sources of that period. Ancient India, yes. Characters like Shikhandi were somewhat like projections into the feminine side of men and homosexuality to an extent. But then this is same for many early European cultures like the Greeks and the Romans. Greeks had traditions like Pederasty.

You should e-mail a proposal to the Ministry of Tourism in India - a PPT would be helpful. For models you could use willing Pathans in Pakistan - you will find them aplenty. It could be a new chapter in India-Pakistan - Aman ki Asha relationship.
