Pranab Mukherjee to take over PM office for 5 weeks

Indian Prime Minister is undergoing treatment in AIMS. He is expected to undergo bypass surgery. Doctors adviced him 5 weeks of rent.

During his absence Pranab Mukherjee will take over PM office.

As simple as that..

No. As far as I know there was no occurrence of a MI. My guess would be that his chronic stable angina may have graduated to transient unstable angina prompting another round of intervention.

He has been suffering from atherosclerosis related issues for quite some time now. In terms of significant cardiovascular medical history, other than his past CABG (bypass surgery) he is a diabetic who underwent an angioplasty procedure (PCI) where stents were placed in some of his coronary arteries. In diabetics the chances of restenosis (re-closing of a blood vessel after stent placement) are very high and most physicians are always on a lookout for this among patients with the pertinent history.

This time around he is scheduled to have a CABG procedure which probably means that they are going to remove the affected portion of the arteries including the old stents out and replace them with grafted tissue.

Next up is Mr. Mukherjee, would it be wise to let him take over PM office in the current situation? Especially when you look at his statements regarding Pakistan?
But ahwell, you "peaceful" Indians don't care, as long as he continues with his hard and threatening stance aimed at Pakistan.

I wish him well. He is probably the cleanest politition in the country who saved country from the door steps of bankruptcy. People will look back in few years to see him the a person who also solved the country's energy crisis as well with nuclear deal.

You are right my Indian Friend from Lockheed that he Talks a lot of ...... and zilch as well no doubt about it.

PM Manmohan Singh is a great leader and a sensible person and because of his efforts War was avoided between India and Pakistan after Mumbai incident even though sometimes he is also forced to speak the same language like your FM Mukher Jee .

LOL, you might never know these days.
Little Mukherjee can easily sneak into Mr Singhs hospital room without anyone noticing it due to Mukherjees midget length, and Mukherjee could snap all the important wires that provide Mr. Singh with air and other necessities that keep him alive.
