Infact most of the people are still finding where did this car gone, it's demand is still very high..
One of my friends father bought a second class black ambasador for 4 lakhs.. Because they think it as a car which shows your power and prestige...

Reportedly, as the first citizen of India, he will be drawing a monthly salary of Rs1.5 lakh and will be residing in the massive structure comprising of 340 rooms – the Rashtrapati Bhavan! The President also gets a staff of 200 to maintain the plush Rashtrapati Bhavan. He will also have retreats in Shimla and Hyderabad.

What’s more you ask? Mukherjee has also been promoted from his defence ministry-registered Ambassador car to a swanky bulletproof Mercedes Benz! Reportedly, the new President will now occupy the black S600L 'Pullman' luxury saloon, which is the official transportation facility provided to the first citizen of India.

The Mercedes car, equipped with world-class feature had made its way to the Rashtrapati Bhavan during the tenure of the first woman President of India Pratibha Patil.

The former defence minister and the now Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, will be escorted by the elite Presidential Body Guards (PBG) during ceremonial events of the President. And otherwise, he will be guarded with a pack of VIP security vehicles while travelling.

So while Mukherjee takes over the chair, what does Pratibha Patil take along as she vacates the seat on July 24? A retired President of India gets a Rs 75,000 per month as pension and a furnished rent free bungalow.

A retired president also gets to keep two free landline and a mobile phones, a five-member personal staff including a private secretary, an official car and staff expenses of around Rs 60,000 per year. Moreover, a former President is also offered a free travel with a companion by train or air.

According to media reports, post her retirement from the post of the President, Patil will be temporarily moving to a four-bedroom bungalow in New Delhi before she moves in a month’s time into her retirement home in Pune.

According to media reports, the few final touches on Patil’s temporary residence in Tughlaq Lane is being carried out rapidly. Reportedly, the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) that constructs and maintains government’s residential and office units received a letter on June 27 to prepare a bungalow for Patil.

Pratibha Patil has been allotted Raigad, a bungalow in Pune, as her retirement home. According to media reports, formalities are underway to transfer it to the CPWD for renovation.
