Sindh government is going to launch a garbage-based power generation project in Karachi.


Under the plan, 672 megawatt electricity will be generated from 2,000 tons of garbage.


The project will be completed in two and a half years.

672 MW generation requires a lot of energy. Unless Karachi produce 20 time higher garbage than other city, this plant can not be run. generally cities loke 5 million populations hardly have 10 to 15 MW garbage power plant.

Useless is a mind word. It has actively caused harm to Pakistan by record level corruption and being the other half of the violence in Karachi (the other being MQM). Why do people support it? Because corruption has become systemic in Pakistan with beneficiaries supporting their benefactors.
