Much of Pakistan know about wars from safe distance, mostly. Arrange tours to Syria on a daily basis, and many will transform into advocates of peace. Heck...just conduct interviews of people in Swat.

Another factor is romanticism of 1965 War on the media which was one of its kind. Existing generations do not realize that both countries have long-range artillery, 4th generation combat aircraft, guided munition and ballistic missiles now. And too much infrastructure at stake.

26/11 killed 200 people and India did issue a warning of serious magnitude. Even USA could do little when 9/11 happened which killed 3000 people and injured 7000. So you were living in a cave for a while?

Pakistan have satellites (for communications), Tanks (including Russian T-90 class Al-Khalid series), Jets (including F-16 Block 52+), SAM systems, Radar systems, ATGM and Naval warships (armed with cruise missiles).

Infact, much of Pakistan is under radar coverage. We have shot down Iranian and Indian drones on a moment's notice in case you didn't knew.
