Nasr has 60 km range , S 400 has 400 KM range . i.e A S 400 battery deployed cover New Delhi will still be able to bring down aircrafts within Pakistan's own airspace.

NASR will never be able to reach S 400 batteries and not just because of its short range but also because S 400 batteries have dedicated self protection jammers and point defence Pantsir system against low flying cruise missiles.

Try against a few volleys of cheap rockets or quasi ballistic missiles... even iron dome cant protect/intercept a 100% against crude hamas rockets..

Think about it scenario : S400 provides atleast 50 km no fly zone in Pakistan airspace! Sukoi MKI armed with Bramose (300km+) entered 30km deep inside Pakistan airspace. What could be Ur retaliation? S-400 could bring down ballistic missiles upto range of 3500Km ,which means every Pakistani ballistic missile including Nasr, and that assuming that India is getting vanilla version. India's deal would include some components of s-500 which make them even more potent against ballistic missiles. If S-400 would not be bringing down Nasr, it would be only because it is not economical to do so with a S-400 missile. India is looking to improve upon Akash to give it ability to shoot down short range tactical ABMs.

Also S-400 would never be inside Nasr's envelop anyway.

One 'system' of S-400 could control maximum of 72 launchers and 384 missiles. Indian contract is for 6000 missiles, which means that India would have 16 systems of S-400. It is a ballpark figure of two regiments.
