That is like saying eating pork is forbidden but the taking naal sprays containg gelatin is not prohibited.

Fact: When you are in close proximity to a drunk you actually are inhaling alcohol molecules - proof is that your nassal receptors detect the strong smell of alcohol. That is alcohol your smelling and by being adjacent are inhaling prohibited substance.

I think option 1 is the most logical opinion. Because people do heart surgery with pig valves.

But I could be wrong, I am not an Islamic scholar.

Today they say one mortgage for your living home is permissible and my friends can't afford to buy anymore. So you should do what you know is right, because they will catch up with you later.

My pennies worth on the subject. It is for us to read and interpret. Islam unlike other religions is conspicious by not having professional clergy. No medium between the Islam and you.

I have never had a problem with mortgages. reasoning? Simple. Islamic prohibition is against usury from lenders who would use the borrower to trap them and then gouge them. Modern banks do not fit in that category. To begin with they are not individuals but institutions that are subject of strict government regulations that prevent the exploitation of the borrower. These protections do not extend to business loans but apply very much to normal borrower who wants to buy a house. Therefore interest in these circumstances is in my opinion perfectly acceptable - we must also keep in mind the inflation on money borrowed.

The prohibition on usury is however analogous to the modern day loan sharks who of course operate illergally and as you know gouge their customers and even use violence to extract their payments. To my mind that is usury and the subject of Islamic prohibition.

Alcohol, pork etc in medicine is halal as far as I know. When I visited our relatives in UK last year, they tended to check some back numbers of products to see if there is anything non-halal. I always found that weird to keep track of all numbers. Looks like just names of ingredients in the back isn't enough anymore.

There are many medicine which contain some form of alcohol, and they are allowed by Ulema if no other alternative is available to treat the disease.

Alcohol is Haraam as well..

Now the only complexity in your question is that can we take it as a preventative measure?

I believe yes, provided there is no other alternative, and if the children suffer a lot (and they do), however, I never give my children this vaccine, as my children only contract flu once in a year, and that too for only five days... and I want my children to develop the resistance by themselves..

Another friend of mine goes for it because his daughter suffers from flu and later it increases sinusitis symptom, so much so that she remains disturbed for months..

So it depends.. if you think your children only suffer once, and that too for five days.. it's better to avoid it.. But you have to ensure that your children do not give this to anyone else in the school, because you don't know whose case is complicated.. so keep your children strictly at home, until it is completely gone..

If it's for medical purposes I don't think there should be an issue. But Priorix® doesn't have any porcine collagen and therefore would be halal and is available on the NHS, perhaps parents can choose this? Also the decision to vaccinate the child rests with the parent, if you don't want the pork based gelatin you can withhold consent. And NO, unlike what the surgery says in accordance with GDPR and HRA 1998, you don't have to give a reason as to why you wish to withhold consent.

My feelings exactly. A mortgage today is poles apart from the evil generational debts of the olden days.

The concept of bankruptcy itself ensures that a person is only liable up to a limit - previously people's children and their own lives were liable for debts.

But this apply to everyone including yourself. Someone with liberal mind will also interpret Islam as per his own liberal thinking and mindset. We all like to twist Islam as per our own wishes and desires. I would love if you share the opinions of those scholars with wider interpretations. I am not rigid that's why started this topic to know about different opinions out there that could help me to make my mind ..some people are just too simple when they follow religion and no reasoning and logic could convince them because they do see things only in black and white . My wife started saying No No when she heard the word pork gelatine even though my argument was same as you and indus Pakistan. I have seen some devout strict Muslim women who always prefer lady doctor for check up during pregnancy and they often risk their life and child's life during pregnancy . When you are pregnant then you should seek best doctor available to you irrespective of his/her gender

I don't think life is under threat here if you don't opt for flu vaccine but flu is still very annoying for kids if they catch it every now and then and flu often lead to coughing, fever and sleeping problems which is irritating both for children and parent

Yeh. They will drive half naked drunk slags inside taxis full of alcohol fumes that would give you a high/intoxicated from clubs and pubs then go cheat the government by pretending to be low income earners, then go smoke some weed. Then spit/cuss out of trhe taxi window like a savage. But then get constipated at some chemical trace element in a eye drop.
