Lots of hurt guys here. Maybe start a global petition asking for entry rights for non muslims to mecca medina ? Not allowing 80% of humanity into a couple of towns reeks of discrimination. And as politely shown by many here , we dont like discrimination based on religion.

True, so far in the west, its only legal to discriminate against ugly people and stupid people and Lazy people.

All other forms of discrimination is illegal in the west.

But legal forms of discrimination like different Visa rules for different races and nationalities are advocated and strongly supported.

A debate is one thing, a act is quite another.

There is nothing "secular" about a mosque or a Temple or a church. They are religious places devoted to exclusively propagate their POV.

Only non religious public institutions need to be secular. Like implementing UCC, which is one of the most basic requirement of being secular. Have you seen the BJP do anything about it ?

I might be reacting too soon, but I'm beginning to see a LOT of heartburn against Modi and the BJP from the right wing Hindu crowd. Whatsapp. Social media. Real life.

One wonders. If he's anyways lost the swing voters. Who voted for him in 2014. He's lost the Muslims and the Christians. He's lost large chunks of dalit votes. He's lost the middle class and more importantly the farmers.

Now on top of that if even his core constituency gets eroded. Then things look less than sure for the BJP coming back in 2019.

Meem and Bheem bonhomie isn't exactly how it's projected in main stream media, local newspapers are full of stories about how gangs of Meems are treating them and their girls.

No doubt the entire opposition coming togther has caused some to raise doubts about BJP coming back in power in 2019 but fight for 50% voteshare will be restricted to mostly UP and Karnataka. We might as well see another exodus of opposition leaders like before 2014 as there will be many "leaders" who will be denied tickets after Mahagathbandhan decides on ticket sharing.

Middle class might be angry with BJP but they are mature enough to judge who would be good for India, a stable government or khichdi of wanna be PMs.
