30 years of first Caliphate resulted in 3 Caliphs Shaheed, 2 civil wars (fitna) and eventual split of Islam between Sunni and Shia branch that still exist today after 1400 years. You call this a success?

By 1750 the Western imperialists (not using this word in a negative way) have started the colonization process already and Islamic powers were in decline. Are we discussing ancient history now? As I said empires come and go. Egypt was 3000 years old when the Romans finally conquered that place. Where are the Romans now? Nobody thought in 100 AD that this empire would bite in the dust 400 years later.

People really need to understand that the Pakistani polity is already cracked up along ethnic/regional patterns. Even a causal voting patterns expose this. It is no point in living in denial. This reality has to be taken in and then studied to what can be done to move forward. Lessons need to be drawn. Debial will only lead to something big happening in the future. If any of you have read history of Bangladesh you will know trouble first manifested itself when Bengali's began voting along clear ethnic lines. Mujib Rehman became the Bengali voice.

My take on the caliphate is that Allah showed us that NOBODY is perfect, we are all capable of making mistakes, even the first Muslims. Literally you donot have to write laws, consititution,cultural mores, social etiquettes, defence strategy-----It is all already there.you just need to convert them to reality instead of doing bluesky thinking on your own

Empires come and go, civilisations do not. Chinese and Indians are some of the oldest continuously living civilizations. They used to dominate world GDP 200 years ago. Only to be taken over by West for next 100 years. But will soon get back to their historical positions.

And in that 29 years, desert dwelling tribes managed to beat two superpowers of the time at the same time. The world trembled with the names of sassanid and bezyntine empires n few desert dwelling tribes managed to beat them embarrassingly at the same time, without any alliance, without any foreign help??
