PESHAWAR: Chitral policemen fought against extreme cold weather at 9,000 feet high mountaintop during an anti-terrorism mock exercise, held to ensure protection of foreign tourists on Friday.

The mock exercise, led by Chitral police chief Muhammad Furqan Bilal on the directives of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa IGP, was held on a mountaintop in Aurait Gul – where many foreign nationals are working on several different projects.

PA decided to trained local police to combat all type of local terror activities. Army special forces take more time to mobilize and engage in situation compare to trained local police, which is more efficient tool to use in such type of low key operations.

Pak police and law enforcement is still relatively weak, incompetent and highly corrupt.

. . . . . .
Very unfair, harsh and offesive to say....what you said about Police is also true for Military too.....but I guess we don't say that put loud
Never was a fan of former General Kiyani. More recent former Gen Raheel dismissed senior militery officials for being corrupt. Clear evidence corruption also takes place in EVERY institution within Pakistan.

On IDEAS lot of good stuff which even Police can and should use was on display for good armored cars to Night Vision and Thermal Sights and Helmets and BP vests. Lot of good stuff which I hope Police also considers and by the way Police officers were also present on 28th in large numbers. They I think made some deals with NCTC and GIDS.

One of the things I would wish to get attention is, gym should be standard in every police prescint/station/thana, no matter how small the precinct is. Physically Pakistani police look very weak and poor appearance.

every country has it's own fair share of corrupt cops and military officials, it's not like there is no corruption or black sheeps in British Police forces or Military Officials.......so why expect Pakistan to be different? We have some bad people in Public offices but then we have some really good men too who have sacrificed all lot for this country. labelly entire force with one single tag is very unfair.....

The difference between Pakistan police and the military is night and day from my experience. The military is very disciplined, organized, reliable, efficient and steadfast.

P.S.
Those people's are our national enemies who chant mantra of BRAVERY against Weather,Bullets and Enemies.
Bravery is nothing when it is not backed by resources.

Duty of common police man is million times difficult them that of an Army man.
