Abrar-ul-Haque, the PTI candidate from Narowal, lost to Ahsan Iqbal twice (in 2013 GE and then again in 2018). Abrar has never lived in Narowal and is considered an 'outsider'. Moreover, NA 78 is a predominantly rural constituency and singers/artists are generally looked down upon. He stands no chance against Ahsan Iqbal. He knows it and therefore has decided to contest the next GE from Lahore/Shahdara. And there is no one else in Narowal who can get even as much votes as Abrar did. Only IK himself can defeat Ahsan Iqbal in NA 78

Ahsan Iqbal is well respected in naronwal... It's more his vote than PMLn

PTI on the other has 2 candidates who kinda have a beef with each other, Abrar ul Haq and kakar

But till now only Abrar is getting PTI tickets, I wonder if it has anything to do with PTI's belief in clan politics, as kakar is Punjabi Pathan and naronwal is mostly Jutt, this Idk, maybe that's why they keep giving ticket to Abrar

But PTI needs a different candidate, maybe they'll get a different result who knows?

He is not from narowal?
I thought he is local there

His ancestral village, Bhattian Kahloon, is in Narowal but Abrar was born in Faisalabad and grew up in Gujarat (and later Rawalpindi). He has never lived here.
