This is BS. I can prove from the budgets of Punjab that this metro far exceeded the $30 bn mark.
They have parked the expenses in other headings in the budget to hide the real cost.

That question of subsidy i just dumb and idiotic.

Metro Bus subsidy is enjoyed by only few people who are living close to the route of Metro Bus Lahore. Let us even say whole of Lahore and they cost Government 8billion with no productive outcome.

Whereas the 21 billion subsidy Sugar/Cane industry benefits the Farmers and this subsidy is spread out across many towns, villages, districts and cities and has far more economic benefit for the farmers who are major junk of our population. If no subsidy is given than Cane price will go up and so will the sugar price thus inflation.

Where increase in metro prices will not have major economic impact yet has benefit of extra 8 billion which can be used for health and education.

I think the concept of institutional independence is being lost here. NAB or FIA or any other government department should be independent to undertake matters on a complaint. What the previous governments (PPP and PML N and ANP) has done is destroy that independence.

It takes time for this mess to be cleaned up and for institutional reforms. Had PTI government orders arrests that the same people would be crying PTI is taking political vengeance against them.

Take LHC as an example where all crooks are getting bails and even SC has shown displeasure to this.

As Per Asian Development Bank the project is running as per schedule. Remember that ADP is financing of the project thus it has far more interest in it completing than anybody else.

Yes it should be completed but unless the the project is abandoned it cannot be said to be in ruins.

As for cost, the proper comparison would be based on the length and the type of services that are being provided.

PTI destroyed NAB in KP.They formed their own institution or "Ahtasab commission" When DG try to catch corruption in KP Imran khan kicked him out.So IK himself destroyed such institutions.Take example of SC under Pti worker Justice Nisar He misused his authority to victimise Pti political opponents.Ik home bani gala is illegal but Court just requested him to pay fine,which he did not payed yet but poor homes r destroyed at night.SC ask IK for his home money trail he was not able to provide it but Court implemented FBR law on him,According to law Person don't have to provide money trail more then 5 years transaction but same Judge Nisar found Black Law dictionary When it comes to NS.So you r right Instituations in Pakistan r destroyed and Big Boss is the real culprit.
