PML-N exposed!!

23 march.
I dont agree with the implications of the post. The fact remains ,that political parties and institutions are really weak and need time to stabilize. There is little party discipline which can be seen in various instances. There is a real issue with these PCO judges and the last ones. The last ones were ratified by parlianment where as these ones are holding their post due to a self admitted wrong action of a dictator. I am no fan of Nawaz Sharif and disagree vehemently with a lot of what he is saying. However, you have to give him credit for being consistent, and true to his word, at least in this term.

PML-N will form working relationship with PCO judges’

LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would form a working relationship with the Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO) judges in order to resolve people’s issues, said Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan on Friday.

He was addressing a press conference in line with the Punjab government’s steps to improve law and order in the province. “The government aims at providing justice and protection to the citizens.”

To make police more efficient, he said, the government would announce a handsome salary package for the officials.

To improve the working of judiciary, he said, the government had requested the Lahore High Court (LHC) chief justice (CJ) to remove inefficient officials and that recruitment should be made through the public service commission.

The law minister said the government had sacked 488 officials of the Prosecution Department in order to lessen the burden on the department. He said the former government had recruited these officials on political basis.

He said 250 posts of the department would be abolished and the new recruitments would be made keeping in view number of courts. He said the posts would be advertised and the slots of deputy district prosecutors and assistant prosecutor general would be filled through public service commission. He said reforms would also be made in the Anti-corruption Department. Daily Times - Leading News Resource of Pakistan

Thus the only criteria for sacking officials is that they were recruited in the previuos government! This Rana Sanaullah is the man who helped Nawaz & PCO Ifti Chaudhry reach an understanding to ouster Musharraf - claimed by Sheikh rashid on GEO the day they lost elections (18 feb) - now this Rana Sanaullah has been made the Law minister!

The fact remains that political parties and institutions are really weak and need time to stabilize.

Political parties are weak and don't stabilize because "the Morons die but we still suffer their offsprings" :pop:

Institutions are weak because our Nation at large is NOT morally upright, are NOT law abiding, and indulge in bribery - including Judiciary of Pakistan (Transparency International considers it one of most corrupt).

Unless we help transform our nation at large by providing them the basic necessities of life, we cannot expect the institutions to perform well & strengthen. After all, its the public who will weaken or strengthen those institutions!

Basic necessities of life include:

1- Education (raise it from 54% to 80% minimum)
2- Water - preservation (Dams) and distribution
3- Electricity - generation & distribution
4- Health
5- Peace - root out terrorism & extremism from our tribal areas

Hand over the country to the Army for the next 15-20 years with these goals and afterwards expect any system to evolve or strengthen. Our political parties DON'T have any intention to deliver these necessities. Their future is SECURED abroad in USA, UK, Dubai, Saudia, etc (where their properties are secure)

If the nation is deprived & desperate to avail these basic necessities of life - they'll always break law and promote bribery.

Regards!
