have no idea why are they construction in hazara. when slim population of hazra is out and of course Islamabad is very near. 3-hours from mashera, 2 hrs from abbotabad, 1 hr haripur
better to go for Swat side if any where the majority population works outside.
ah, politics.

cannot believe one side govt is crying for low funds and high fiscal adjustments and delaying crucial projects on other hand working on controversial projects

Its spelled Etihad and PK only flies twice a week to New York, only makes sense to shut the route if they can't fly daily.

I'm from Mansehra and I have mixed feelings about it. They should spend this money on speedy opening of NIIA instead.

I have noticed Rauf Kalasra makes up a lots of stories, most of the time he is after PIA. His last story about PIA selling a plane to Director Azeem's daughter's company found to be false and ARY had to appologize for it.

Hope they don't chop all the trees down

It is an airport!!! Surely the trees need to be and will be chopped down. What we can wish for is they plant some new ones in appropriate locations. Gov should go ahead with the airport construction and if some decent domestic flights can be scheduled for this place it will be a good news for the tourism industry.

yup we should shelf hydro projects saying that we have no funds (dasu,bhasha,bunji) but built international airports that will be used far below its capacity..good move

its not that functional. its not controversial if the provincial govt wants to build it but shelfing other important projects for lack of funds and than building something that atleast debatable is not a good move.
for example munda dam has been stopped due to lack of 36 billion rupees(probably the same cost of the airport in mannshera)
dasu is slowed down due to lack of 128 billion rupees.


they are absolutely important for the purpose of flood protection so as many other projects under the urgent category decided by The Economic Coordination Committee itself

exactly manshera-abbotabad has other problems, more urgent in road infrastructure better spend the same money there i will have no objections. but would that ring a big bang in politics as an airport. i doubt it

That's the reality. People are forced to fly PIA.. The service sucks.. The staff sucks.. PIA planes are like New Khan buses.... Broken seat belts,old fat cabin crew who are annoying as ...!

Do you know how hearsay goes in Pakistan. Stories after stories after stories, and the final story is 10 fold the original one. When you listen to these so called journalists, dont you say to yourself "kasey bachkana batain kerty hain yeh log"
