That's exactly what I am telling you and that Atlanta bomber and the Unabomber are good examples of hiding in plain sight.

It is NOT DIFFICULT FOR ANYONE TO HIDE IN PAKISTAN!! Akbar Bugti--an open and armed rebel--managed that for years, for example. It was not difficult for OBL to hide given the closed/walled-in Pakistani households and the incompetent (though now improved) security apparatuses. As to the height of OBL, both of my grandparents were at least 6 foot and my elder brother is around 6 foot.

Anyway, go look up Rumsfeld's interview after the OBL raid where he defends Pakistan and clearly says that people can hide even within a few miles of Pentagon itself. And you quite conveniently forget Obama publicly thanking Pakistan for the help provided in the Bin Laden raid. It's a different matter that self-serving people like Panneta decided to use the raid for self aggrandizement and trying to get strategic mileage out of Pakistan after the raid; in my opinion Leon Panneta was the architect of the Pakistan-America rift and that too for mostly his personal gains.

Of course what you state is a FACT! I don't think even a low-level official was involved in 'hiding' OBL; one person knows, and then the whole town knows eventually. That's exactly what Rumsfeld said when he defended Pakistan. OBL was the modern Hitler to America and anyone hiding him was going to pay a very heavy price.

Incompetence is the right word and that's why tens of thousands of Pakistanis died, major hotels attacked, Army GHQ attacked, Benazir Bhutto killed, Musharraf attacked multiple times...

Look at the FBI most wanted list; look at the drug lords and killers still at large; look at all the missing children list and so on! Just because someone is known and advertised with a bounty/reward it doesnt mean they will be instantly caught; especially if your radius is pretty much the whole underdeveloped muslim world.

You seriously think that the biggest killer of US civilians in mordern history was some how protected by collusion or incompetence of Pakistan, US would not even mention it even once at the official level. Even your Sheikh Hassina and Modi shout with their lungs blown out when they get a chance, even puppet regime of Afghanistan complains, but US which has enormous leverage on Pak millitary and economy cant even give a statement if there was any truth to your assertion ! That is because the fact is Pak was not complacent either by collusion or incompetence- they didnt trust with the raid - but they never blamed Pakistan directly or indirectly about OBL; they certainly have blamed about the alleged support to Taliban but NOT OBL.
