This has to be the first god who came through murdering minorities and who till date has ignited mass murderers and intolerance in the Indian society that has never seen before to this degree. So what do you call this? A god of hate and killing? What else has he done and known for? Someone please give me some real context in terms of his human rights abuse!!!!

Actually every abrahmic god has come through murdering millions.

Secondly, the only one true god is nawaz sharif.

Buddhist ones are like Guanyin.

Polytheism is quite a natural state for human beings. Monotheism ended up replacing polytheism in much of the world in the last few centuries though.

hmm.. I have nothing against monotheisim, its nice tight theory and as good an alternative to polytheism.
As long as we know the difference, there will be less shock.

A muslim friend of mine was quite adamant that 'tendulkar should never be called god of cricket'. I said, 'he is not really god, its just an expression to say he is epic/awsome/the best'.... people do not really worship him ( a few might in India, you never know, but thats not what the expression suggests).

I should say in UK too, god (or goddess) is used sometimes to show appreciation.
