These islamist tribes are not going to accept Kaffir rule over them. Pakistan if anything betrayed taliban to help USA with little return, these arrogant Americans will not see that either. Yes few westernised afghani pashtuns like Ghani and his ilk are different ball game but they don't represent rural afghan pashtuns.

Now its only Pakistan influence that even brought Taliban on table for peace talks. Also Pakistan is reaching out to all ethnic groups of Afghanistan for inclusive government in Kabul. That means pashtuns will be represented by taliban and so on. Likes of nationalist Afghani pashtuns like Ghani and that NSA guy will have to go back to west.
