PM Imran to Answer Public’s Live Calls Today

These measly one-time increases in exports don't mean anything. They happen naturally through market fluctuation and expansion. Just because they increased for a single month doesn't mean that you can go celebrating in the rain. In the past 20 years, exports saw the highest increase during PPP's rule. Did the PPP make Pakistan prosperous? PTI had no hand in the increase, just like the PPP.

Also, this is the YOY comparison of our exports. Notice the decreases as well.

That does not mean anything either. A gov institute set a target for itself, by itself, and then achieved it. Still, "the Ministry of Finance is also expecting a significant shortfall against the annual target". Apart from the fact that YOY tax collection has in fact decreased, despite the heavy increase in indirect taxation by PTI.

How do you compare.....? Pretty sure well established economic markers give a pretty clear idea. You don't celebrate a nincompoop just because he is less of a nincompoop than the last guy. Although, it's pretty debatable if he actually even is.

So corona played nothing but yeah this mean nothing.

Tax filers increases yet govt has to work alot but things going in right direction

and please spare the GDP pakistan went toward bankrupt in 2018 because of loan taken gdp performance.

also was a gift to PTI from previous govt.

So you can compare when either Pakistan was doing so much better in past that dollars were flowing right and left or you can compare how Imran khan manage to minimize the damage which past govt has done.

Still pakistan has to do a lot in agriculture and already set target of $5 billion for IT export and textile running almost 100%

Bro regarding exports I don't see any inconsistency apart from August where you have had heavy rains resulting in urban flooding of port city. Our numbers were good for first 8 months of FY 2020 before Corona hit, so the graph is fair and consistent in comparison.
As far as growth of 5.5% YoY is very encouraging. Especially with the value addition that is happening. Bangladesh, India every other got to where they are with incremental increases.

As far as tax collection is concerned our revenue is in rupees and our expenditure is in rupees. Local economy does not run in dollars. Infact we are well on our way to achieve the historic target of 4.9 trillion IA. 7 months target has been met.

Tax year 2020 is still ongoing. 1.31m figure is as of Dec 8, 2020 . As of Jan 2021 there is already a 9% increase in tax return filed as compared to tax year 2019.

'The Federal Board of Revenue is expanding serious efforts to broaden the tax base in the country.
Early signs suggest such efforts are bearing fruits. As on January 30, 2021, income tax returns filed numbered 2.52 million for tax year 2020 as compared with 2.31 million last year, showing an increase of 9 percent

I'm not burning Dumbo, my country is though and it's really sad and painful. How can People like you be satisfied with this situation unless you are hoping the country sinks
Surely all PTians can't be traitors

Only people that support Nawaz and Zardari are traitors knowing that they are not only corrupt but also that Nawaz was very close to Butcher of Gujrat and Zardari was willing to dismantle Pakistani nukes if the US pay him $$$$$$

Also are you by any chance related to Syed Abdul Ala Maududi ? The guy who was anti-Pakistan

Sadly not a single question related to Karachi & the rights for the people of Karachi city & what ppp doing with this city for pissing off the people of this poor city...:(

There was a guy who was asking about Hyderabad. He also said that they have no hope from PPP. but PMIK said that because of the 18th amendment he can't do anything except give money to Sindh.

This is why i think that this 18th amendment is a curse for Sindh. The power should be dissolved to Divisional level instead of Provincial level

Prime Minister Imran Khan will answer the public phone calls on Monday, his office announced. This will be the first such session since he assumed office in August 2018.

“Talk directly to Prime Minister Imran Khan on the telephone. […] Your questions, the prime minister’s answers,” Prime Minister’s Office said in a Twitter post on Sunday.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcast, Senator Shibli Faraz, also shared the details of the event on his Twitter handle.

If you got any questions or want to speak directly to Prime Minister Imran Khan, you can dial 051-9210809 to join him on live calls. The telephone lines will be open at 4 pm. There is no information available for how long this session will last.

PM Imran regularly addresses the nation at public gatherings and through live or recorded televised addresses. However, such one-to-one interactions are rare.

Though he had promised to ‘answer to the people’ during the question-answer session in the assembly, this promise couldn’t materialize due to political reasons.

Firstly, your analysis using USD is flawed. If you are going to do that, then also include the burning of borrowed billions USD by pegging.

For exports specifically, do you have the volume/quantity analysis?

i am curious, who do you support in Pakistani politics? who should run the country?

Support? Nobody, they are all crooks product of crooked generals and every new product bigger harami than previous.

Army should definitely not run the country. Any country in the world that's run by army is a dump of poop and destroyed economically. Pakistan has no enemies but we still fought for superpowers twice outside and within our country thanks to our army generals. Despite the fact that the only place we should have fought for ie Kashmir we will never as long as army is in power. But we made enemies of Afghanistan and Bangladesh due to traitorous foreign funded generals. Even Quad e Azam wanted to fight for Kashmir but couldn't due to traitorous army generals.

At the very least, someone who isn't a certified proud zani (fornicator), proud liar and West's thrown out trash and according to his wife a faggot should run the country. In a population of 22 million+, there are plenty of local people who can run Pakistan if the damn army general stop interfering in politics and bringing people to power to please enemies of Islam ie Kuffar and to extend their retirement ages.

Just follow the Kuffar model if Islamic model is too hard to follow. Sadly, Kuffar are following Islamic model while Muslim generals are following rotten Mushriks model
