PM Imran launches country's 'largest' skills development programme for youth

It's the key to success in countries like ours. We have plenty of people, plenty of resources -why is everything made in China?! We need to be creating all sorts of stuff domestically for our own markets and to try and compete in the export market. China should be a model for us.

Indonesia is also trying so hard to create as many businesses as it can do. We also have many home ground manufacturing industries in here, but most of them are in small and medium size companies, as 60.6 % of our economy come from this small and medium size business.

Here is news talking about our effort to make new businesses that can compete globally.

From 2020 to 2024, the number (of technology-based startups) must triple. If the number is 1,307 now, then it must reach 4,900 in 2024.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Research, Technology, and Higher Education Ministry has outlined a target of creating 4,900 technology-based startups until 2024.

"From 2020 to 2024, the number (of technology-based startups) must triple. If the number is 1,307 now, then it must reach 4,900 in 2024," Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Mohamad Nasir remarked during the I3E 2019 expo held at the Jakarta Convention Center on Thursday.

To this end, the ministry will annually allocate a minimum of Rp64 billion for three programs to finance and develop potential technology-based startups (CPPBT), technology-based startups (PPBT), and industrial innovation, he noted.

"Some Rp280 billion will be utilized only for PPBT in the next five years. (The budget for PPBT) this year is Rp64 billion. In future, we must raise the amount. We hope that the number (of technology-based startups) would increase three-folds during the 2020-2024 period. The Indonesian president will integrate all research under the coordination of the research institute, in this case, the National Research and Innovation Body," he noted.

The expo, on October 3-6, is showcasing 404 innovative products from technology-based startups.

Director General of Innovation Strengthening Jumain Appe stated that the 3E expo showcased 404 innovative products comprising 249 from the PPBT funding program, 132 from the CPPBT funding program, and 23 from the industrial innovation funding program.

Imran is emphasizing the need to work to be successful. "Happy ever-after" means an imagination that once you go rich, you stay rich forever - but this is not the case. Life goes up and down all the time.

Imran Khan is not arrogant neither he is apparently astray - but Allah knows the best. For a Muslim, it is not permissible to doubt the Niya of anyone either. Niya is with Allah and only Allah knows the best - but from what I have found in Imran Khan, he is striving to follow the straight path. May Allah help him and us all follow and keep following Sirat-e-Mustaqeem. Aamin.

I have no interest in Niyat. It is something only Allah knows. I'll judge by what i can see and hear. Like i said, i have no comment on IKs initiative. I have a strong opinion on happily ever after being touted as a lie based on my life experiences.

I think as an executive of a country, he shouldn't spread nonsense like that. There is happy ever after both in this life and the next. Islam tells you how to achieve that. There are people who are living happily ever after regardless of their religion.

Work is overrated, much so in Pakistan. Once again, i know people who worked squat but earn more than your average joe.

Imran Khan thinks cricket is life. Cricket isn't life. Work helps in cricket. It doesn't in real life. Success comes from fate not real work.

Seems like at 30, i know more about life than Imran Khan. Maybe because i actually have to earn my buck rather than play cricket all life and born into elitism.

I'd like to quote my friend who is earning excess of 60k$ PER MONTH and living a happy ever after.

Work smarter not harder.

Skill is very important. We find a lots of guys with degree in hand but a little to contribute in any area in absence of skills. In actual world, one would find many guys with certificates in hand but very few with skills. One need to be skillful because skill gives livelihood.
