One question...how is PTI holding on to power and taqat ka nasha when they have called elections?

Like, you can say this was illegal, unconstitutional etc etc, but how the heck can you say this was a martial law and this was a power grabbing move?

I'll eat dirt if that actually happens.
Now again watch my same updated post

Personally i feel IK should have after rejection of NCM, imposed emergency or Governor rule on pretext of investigation into memo and PDM colluding with US to topple IK gov by bribing and threats.
After that SC should have been approached to start thorough investigation into the memo and situation around it.

Gov should have announced that elections cannot be held until an investigation into foreign powers involvement in incident and elimination of threats is concluded. NSC should have been dragged into court. There was no need to dissolve assemblies right-away.

As of now the gutter has been sealed, but the filth has not been cleaned.

He is not PM anymore dude.
Constitution allows the President to order him to continue in office until his replacement is notified. Same would have been done even of he would have been voted out from the assembly. There's nothing legal or unconstitutional here. That crucial Office should never be left empty. He is PM for next 15 days.

EVM, Overseas Pakistanis Vote, Cases with NAB and FIA, IK stronger than before ...

As PDM don't have power to undo the above, thus IK is a dictator or has imposed martial law.

Media sources close to PTI has rumored that Lt Gen Haroon Aslam (R) could be one of the suggested nominee for caretaker PM by the PTI.

My understanding is that the rule is for the sitting PM and the leader of the opposition to jointly decide on a caretaker PM. If that fails then the president will decide, and he can nominate Imran Khan as the caretaker.

Arif Alvi Is just following procedure. With Shahbaz Sharif having refused to cooperate, IK is likely to be appointed.

KARACHI: In a surprising development, the Altaf Hussain-led Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), commonly known as MQM-London, resumed its organisational activities in Karachi after a lapse of over five years and named two senior leaders as members of its coordination committee, party’s top decision-making forum.

The development coincides with a petition filed in the Sindh High Court seeking lifting of a ban imposed in 2015 on the broadcast of speeches of London-based Mr Hussain by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra).

According to a statement sent to Dawn by London-based MQM leader Mustafa Azizabadi, former MNA Kunwar Khalid Yunus and veteran leftist leader Momin Khan Momin, both based in Pakistan, have been made senior deputy convener and deputy convener of the coordination committee, respectively.

The statement said the two would pursue cases of interned MQM workers and also work for the recovery of “missing” activists.

It said that further organisational set-up would be announced in the days to come and asked what it described as party’s “wafa parast” workers to keep in touch with Mr Yunus and Mr Khan.

Meanwhile, another statement issued on Sunday said that the coordination committee had mailed a petition from London to the Supreme Court of Pakistan against the “illegal and unconstitutional” ban on Mr Hussain’s speeches.

Throw them in jail. Why waste everyone's time, when we know these idiots are gonna end up commit crimes that are gonna lead to their imprisonment anyway? The fact that they continue to materially support a known traitor is enough of an excuse to lock them away and let them rot, it would be enough in most countries.

Emergency or Governor rule etc can straightforwardly be overthrown by the court if it finds it to be unnecessary overreaction or malified intentions. But ruling of the Speaker and subsequent desolation of the Assembly is entirely another can of worms.

I don't think so that IK would be able to participate in upcoming elections then. Because all the drama of creating a caretaker setup is done to nullify the influence of the participating parties in the Govt machinery. Many countries don't even have laws for these kind of caretaker setups but it's valid in Pakistan for obvious reasons

ECP will appoint caretaker, and IK cannot be caretaker PM, if he wants to contest elections.

Opposition should also be charged for sedition for running an illegal session after the NCM was dismissed. All of these goons should be rounded up and forced to sleep in pig barns until the next elections.
The state of Pakistan does not have the backbone to do that. The uneducated masses of Pakistan won't be able to stomach the sight of PML-N leadership executed. Millions of feudal lords, and their peasants will shut this country down, and even compromise state institutions. Let's change the system, from within the system. It's working ..... I think.
