Rofl we are paying taxes on sugar and other food necessities, in the name of giving them chance. This govt. has laready finished one year and is on a useless trip with no benefits for Pakistani national interest. On top of that he is being treated like an uninvited guest, the previous Pakistani heads of state did'nt face such zalaalat from US authorities.

It's amazing, how despite taking a low profile commercial flight, Imran Khan commands a lot of respect and 20,000 Pakistani's have filled a stadium in US capitol just to meet him. On the other hand, previous leaders took entire aircraft, yet hardly any Pakistani would come to meet them, let alone care. Can anyone post a link to an even where 20,000 Pakistani's filled a stadium in Washington DC or London, just to see any previous PM?

People love Imran Khan, people despise previous rulers. It didn't matter if PML-N or PPP leaders came on a chartered Boeing 777, no one had had respect for them, no Pakistani, and certainly no foreigner.

Respect (izzat) doesn't come from having personal planes, entourages, security. It comes from good actions a man takes. He isn't perfect, but everyone has seen Imran Khan's honesty and passion for the poor.

In Pakistan the salaried class and city dwellers pay taxes, not the feudals or other elites.
Just think the 1% that pays taxes are being forced to pay more taxes in a shrinking economy with high unemployment and no jobs creation. Food inflation and high utility bills are other headaches apart from taxes a Pakistani middle class is being brought to bear. This is all due to IMF package, an elected politician can't do suicide with such policies.

The previous Pak heads of state did receive a State dept. official to welcome them. The US State dept. has been more or less absent and only humiliating this visit since it was announced. Few days back, they deliberately denied knowing about the trip just to embarass Pakistani foreign office.

Am i the only one that thinks what's the big effin deal about this? IK isn't the only PM of Pakistan that will go to US. Every PM goes there, takes dictation and comes back here.
