Here's the full interview, 21:49 minutes long, no cutting and no intro. It has missing bits which PBS didn't show.

I suggest Pakistan should upgrade its narrative when it speaks about the war on terrorism.

• Pakistan has lost 70 thousand people dead,
• but 500,000+ (half a million) people who are victims and have been physically hurt or received permanent disabilities,
• and some 5 million affected families who have lost their loved ones to terrorism.

When you speak of 70,000 people who died, you only mention the people who are killed, but victims of terrorism are also those people who lived those terrorists attacks and are still suffering. When we as a Nation explain what we've gone through, we must speak about all victims. Only then western media may (finally) see the suffering Pakistani Nation in this war.

Second, when you mention the 150 Billion dollars loss we suffered, without context it doesn't make sense. For a rich country like America, 150 Billion dollars may mean 2% of their GDP but for Pakistan, a 350 Billion dollar economy, that accounts for 42% of our GDP, almost half of our National GDP over 20 years! Explain the level of sacrifice we have withstood as a result, and by mentioning the percentage, you may be able to help the world experience what we went through.

regarding his comments on and clarification about women and rape, what ever way we come up with utmost refined statements, west will always be biased about it.

Shouldn't be saying such uncivilized nonsense in front of the world if you fear being judged as they will look at the society as a whole before passing judgement, best to keep mouth shut about the topic of women. Imran should have known better especially with his background.

Its strange, a 14 year old girl can be arrange married off but two 20 year olds fall in love and its not tolerated? Worse case scenarios are presented and the female is called a "whore" as an extreme despite most people just meeting someone they fall in love with? Agree. Government of Pakistan should get exact stats then sharethem with the world to help them see the blast radius and levels of sacrifices this Nation has offered. In addition to 70,000 sacrifices, millions of families are suffering still as they're coping with disabilities, loss of economy and loved ones.

PBS is a highly respected US news network. They are a public broadcast network. This is who IK should have given the interview in the first place. Not to that she boy from HBO, who is a nobody in America.
However, for the future, stop giving Interviews to western, and especially the enemy indian media. No government official should ever talk to any indian media. Make it a policy.

PM office should also force them to air interviews as is without the editing. These publishers are changing the message/ emphasis through editing.

Good points, but one can blame the world for neglect and/or only if there has been a proper presentation of Pakistan's point of view in the first place. Having a clear cut policy without built-in backroads and roundabouts would also help tremendously.

Imran Khan made a very good point, whatever government Afghanistan should have should be decided by Afghan people, not US , not Pakistan. US is in no position to "help" Afghan people choose their own government.
