PM Imran Gives A Befitting Reply To President Trump’s Statement

You are correct that USA is not treating its allies fairly under the present administration. It can, and should do better, in this regard.
Thank you!

He said "did nothing for us", please read again. Pakistan did nothing for us, but obviously did a lot for itself.
Well, we did provide them all the logistics support and whatever was part of the agreement, coz money was "FLOWING"...

Please tell me how the payment was supposed to be continuous. US funding never ever works on a permanent basis but requires periodic renewals tied to specific national interest goals.
Goal was ending terrorism....It hasnt ended!

Then why are the logistics still flowing for free (is that true?) through Pakistan despite no payments?

Goal was ending terrorism....It hasnt ended!

The immediate goals were to get OBL and dismantle AlQaida, both achieved. The longer term goals are to stabilize the area so that such an organization cannot arise there to attack USA again, in progress, and very difficult (perhaps not achievable?).

This figure is what Pakistan claims it has lost, but no other confirmatory evidence is available. Losses due to other causes such as corruption and mismanagement cannot be lumped under the terrorism heading.
Due to terrosim most of the industry moved to Bangladesh hurting Pakistan big time .
We hav
@VCheng you may spend your retired life auditing for the Pak army...Don't forget to include the infrastructure damage, years economic damage, loss of life esp children, expenses needed for curbing terrorism at home (not just in Afghanistan), logistics for that, psychological trauma, un-brainwashing camps, and the every now and then craziness from across the border despite US army still sitting in Afghanistan!

Now add to all that the no. of army men lost due to operations for helping USA and also backlashes! Our PM can put any price on our people and it will still be less so kindly dont whine about the amount! The real amount America cant fathom!

Interesting how you failed to call Trump the fool for his false claims :pop:
Plus we have no taliban problem .
Afghan taliban was never our enemy .
Due to the operations against afghan taliban and some of their supporters inside Pakistan on the insistence of America , a new group called ttp thrik taliban Pakistan was formed which wrecked havoc inside Pakistan and was supported by nds, and America stayed quiet.
And all the industry moved to Bangladesh or uae and we never recovered due to 911

Or may be it is the chronic and severe power shortages that caused industry to look elsewhere?

If Pakistan does not regard the Taliban as a problem, then it is certainly correct in saying so and acting accordingly.

Honestly I have no idea, but I will back my PM :D

When was AlQaedah dismantled? Who are Americans fighting in Afghanistan or are they refusing to leave the weed?

And yet even the officials admit they have failed....We also helped in these long term goals and require payment for our due service :)

IK is very much a world leader similar to the likes of Macron and Trudeau.

Trump - not so much

Diplomacy is not conducted on twitter. The best way to deal with Trump is to ignore him.

I agree with this. Trump is an idiot and can’t see beyond his own nose, his life mostly consists of Twitter, eating fast food and watching US television news.

The real culprits behind his words are very effective people, in a lobby that we’re failing to deal with, or match in our efforts.

Responding to Trump, and that too on Twitter, doesn’t change anything, at worst it will receive the idiot’s attention and start (yet another) twitter fight.

Backing IK is great, please do carry on. And you are right, AlQaeda's #2 is still at large, although the recent captures in Karach do give some hope that it will not be for long. And if all Pakistan wants is a transactional relationship, that is all it will get, right?

I would say that Imran Khan took the bait.

They will use Khan's words on Twitter against him, when the time comes. Responses on Twitter should be avoided - Russian leadership does not respond on Twitter to any critic or allegation; it is smart. Pakistan should take notes from Russia.
