PM Imran Gives A Befitting Reply To President Trump’s Statement

Ok let’s close land and sea access to all troops in Afghanistan

Then your transport cost will be x 10 higher

Please do that immediately! This would send a clear and strong message.

4. What Trump said is "did nothing for US", not that Pakistan did nothing at all. Big difference between the two.
Pakistan sold it's strategic position and gave Afghanistan on a platter to India for peanuts. That was thanks to that scumbag Musharaf. Objectively speaking this was the best deal USA ever got for few $ billion and for Pakistan was the worse deal in recent times for which we are paying and will continue to pay.

93 days into office and you expect him to DO EVERYTHING already? Plus, he can’t take this decision individually.

His first priority right now must be the economy.

But why do people here love to blame USA when the situation that Pakistan finds itself in right now is the result of decisions that were made by Pakistan?

There is power asymmetry between USA and Pakistan. Was it not for that Pakistan would choose that action. But it is law of nature that if one avenue is blocked humans find other avenues. And you know that. ISI supporting Taliban is the consequence of that.

Now do what you want with tha fact but rest assured your troops will not be able to leave without making deal with Taliban. We will have our last laugh ...

Let us see how the situation in Afghanistan develops further. It would be interesting, to say the least.

Because that scumbag Musharaf who murdered and yes I use that word with intent, murdered our poor soldiers on heights of Kargil in a futile exercise that was all about coming out the hero. When that kindergarten plan failed he kicked Nawaz out. Then for next ten years used the few $billion America gave to solidfy his rule by buying out large sections of the urban elite. That included the media and we still have ignorant masses who can't think beyond their noses. But then America also has ignorants in large number.

I would love to ask Trump what did America get out of sinking $100s of billion into Israel and purchasing the enemity of large chnk of the globe. What did Israel give in return??

It's been 17 years. I think we all know there is going to no big surprises. Taliban are still here !

Who knows if they want or not to leave Afghanistan at all? I believe they are here to stay for a long long time for other reasons and some 'mess' suits them in Afghanistan.

To be fair to both IK and Trump. both have inherited the situation arisen from decisions made long ago. How they handle them now is the more important thing.

No. I think they will leave by the next administration. Trump wanted to leave but his military/establishment convinced hom to stay. When nothing changes the belt will snap. They will leave but they need to save their 'face' first. That is where talking with Taliban comes in. No smoke without fire.

Agreed. I expect PM IK to 'help' USA ease out of Afghanistan. Wait a year and then man up the Taliban to go dog hunting the NA baskets. Repeat of 1997. Kick all the Indian lovin NA back up the Panjshiri mountains. And I know Taliban are primitive baskets but to paraphrase one of your presidents "they are our baskets".

It's not like Musharraf had a choice. US was going into Afghanistan regardless of what Pakistan said about it. The only thing you can blame Musharraf is that he didn't get a better deal from US.

As for letting India into Afghanistan, that was the consequence of the Taliban being driven out. Still, the linchpin of India's presence is not the US anymore but Iran. If you want India out of Afghanistan, have better relations with Iran.

I just hope that IK will be able to extract maximum benefits for Pakistan for helping USA out this time.

What if Trump gets re-elected?
I hope he does. When I say next administration I did not mean non Trump admin., what I mean't is by that srage whatever fancy ideas Pentagon sold to Trump will be exhausted and Trump is going to go by his natural instinct - pull out.

Incorrect. The planning was done by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, a Pakistani citizen:

I'm pretty sure you were there when it happened?

Most of America doesn't trust the govt narrative on 9/11 and here we have some more loyal than the king kind of people completely hooked up to the matrix...

Try and use some intellect and look beyond the official sources of information mate...

who knows, you might get "enlightened"
