Is a strange but unbelievably tasty variety. Named after the fact when local potters (Kumars) deposited the rejected earthen pots (powder form) in the roots of these trees (Carbon and calcium as fertilizer).

I believe, the potters (kumars) did it without knowing they were putting fertilizers at the mango tree roots. It became a bonanza. The variety changed and the taste turned better.

I have reason to believe they threw also ashes to the tree roots from the stoves (চুলা) that burn woods for fuel. Wood ash is a good source potassium (K) ~5%, calcium (Ca) ~25%, phosphorous (P) ~2%, and magnesium (Mg) ~1% which are essential plant nutrients.

But politics is a deep sea and you alone can't contorl everything over night.

So In short , Mujib was a great leader ,but not even good administrator; he used to believe everyone.

On the other hand ,Hasina may not be a great politician, but as administrator she is extremely wise.

India can't do that, because in 1975 ,not only our military was weak, but also India had strong backup of regional power and 2nd super power Soviet Union.

I would say recent swing to Pakistan not China, as China always had one of the nicest ally of Bangladesh.

I think you are overthinking India's "pull" in Bangladesh.

It is getting smaller and smaller by the decade.

We could not imagine ten years ago our FM Momen could say anti-India and anti-BJP things and get away with it. Yet here we are.

It is time India and it's shills get used to the new equation.

Past LDC status, and when Bangladesh gets to true Middle Income status, a lot of things will change.

Once Hilsa bones (fine and numerous) get stuck in your throat, it takes a thousand rice balls to dislodge them. Bengalis are expert at this, but kids sometimes are not.

I have had Hilsa filets though which are almost boneless. I don't know how they dissolve the finer bones (papaya juice marinade)?

My dad is farsighted so he often has bones get stuck in there.
But yes bengalis are expert fish eaters but Japanese are expert fish cleaners
